My Hidden Polished Arrow

Isaiah 49:2   He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in His quiver. 

Isaiah 50:4   The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.

Morning by morning breathe anew in Me
Wait on Me, the Sovereign LORD
Be still, hidden in the shadow of My hand
Yield to My refining process.

These (trials) have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. –1 Pe 1:7

You are being made into My polished arrow
Concealed in My quiver until the appointed time of release
My word runs swiftly to its target when released –Ps 147:15
It will not return void.

My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. –Isa 55:11

Wait on Me and My divine timing, beloved.

Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.  –Ja 1:4

Stay hidden in My quiver until the appointed time of release
You are being made into My polished arrow
Stand straight and lift up your head

I the Lord will perfect that which concerns you
My mercy endures forever
I will not forsake the works of My hands! –Psa 138:8

I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. –Isa 49:15-16

Lamentations 3:25-26   The LORD is good to those whose hope{trust} is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation{deliverance} of the LORD.

Job 23:11-12, 10   My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside.
I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.
He knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

 

Teach me, O LORD, to yield to Your ways and timing. As the battle heats up, help me to be still and remain hidden as I am polished. Help me to wait, O LORD, on Your perfect timing. May I be released as Your swift, sharp, accurate arrow, accomplishing that for which it was sent bringing all praise, honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.

QUIVER - kwiv’-er (ashpah, teli; pharetra (Sirach 26:12)): A case or sheath for carrying arrows, a part of the ordinary equipment of the warrior, both foot-soldier and charioteer (Job 39:23; Isa 22:6), and also of the huntsman (Gen 27:3). Figuratively of a group in passages where children (Ps 127:5) or prophets of Yahweh (Isa 49:2) are spoken of as arrows. Arrows are called bene ‘ashpah, “sons of the quiver” (Lam 3:13). By identifying the arrows with the death they produce, the quiver is likened to an open grave (Jer 5:16).
