Lift Up Your Eyes and See

April 29, 2012

Isaiah 40:26Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing.

Lift up your eyes and see
The rising Son on the wings of dawn.

The Sun of Righteousness(Vindication) rises
With healing in His wings
In the greatness of His might
And the strength of His power!
-Mal 4:2;Isa 40:26

Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. -Ps 55:6

Your Love Never Fails!

April 28, 2012

The LORD’s loyal, steadfast love never ceases; For His compassions never fail. -Lam 3:22

The wind is strong and the water’s deep
The oceans rage
But I don’t have to be afraid
Because I know that You love me
And I’m not alone here in these open seas
Because Your love never fails!

The chasm is far too wide
I never thought I’d reach the other side
But Your love never fails!

Praise You Lord Jesus, You make all things work together for my good! Your love never fails!

Psalm 91:14 AMP … Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver{rescue} him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Psalm 9:10 AMP … And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God's Word and the right of their necessity].

Lord Jesus, I trust in Your loyal, steadfast, unfailing, love; In Your faithfulness. My heart rejoices in Your salvation, deliverance, and victory!. -Ps 13:5

Lord Jesus, may we each have personal knowledge of Your unfailing love and KNOW that You will NEVER forsake those who love and seek You. As we trust You let our hearts rejoice in Your salvation, deliverance, and victory!

Pride and Conflict

I am Right or Wrong?

Where so many hours have been spent in convincing myself that I am right,

Is there not some reason to fear I may be wrong?

- Jane Austen

Quote Joyce Meyers:

Proverbs 13:10 Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise.

“I was wrong” or “I need advice” are difficult phrases to utter because they require humility. Pride is an ingredient in every quarrel. It stirs up conflict and divides people. Humility, by contrast, heals. Guard against pride. If you find yourself constantly arguing, examine your life for pride. Be open to the advice of others, ask for help when you need it, and be willing to admit your mistakes.

James 4:6 (Proverbs 3:34)God opposes the proud but gives grace to {favors} the humble.

Lord help me to pursue a humble heart. Teach me what it means to be humble that I may enjoy Your grace and favor.

From He Restores My Soul

He[The Good Shepherd] restores: breathes refreshment and new life into my soul! -Ps 23:3

THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); -Ps 23:1-3 AMP

Beside still waters

waters of quietness and rest
peaceful streams
waters of refreshment and life

He[The Good Shepherd] restores: breathes refreshment and new life into my soul!

For the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the springs of the waters of life{living fountains of waters}; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. -Rev 7:17

.

Today, may you follow the Lamb to living fountains of waters where every tear is wiped away. Beside still waters He restores the soul.

  • He leadeth me beside the still waters – Margin, “waters of quietness.” Not stagnant waters, but waters not tempestuous and stormy; waters so calm, gentle, and still, as to suggest the idea of repose, and such as prompt to repose. As applied to the people of God, this denotes the calmness – the peace – the repose of the soul, when salvation flows as in a gently running stream; when there is no apprehension of want; when the heart is at; peace with God.

Stand firm under His wings!

Ephesians 6 – The Armor of God

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.

17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Romans 8:37 NLTDespite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Psalm 91:4 NLT … He will shield you with His wings. He will shelter you with His feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
