Without Fear

January 3, 2009

Luke 1:68, 74-75
Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because He has come and has redeemed His people.

To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

There is no fear in love, the perfect love of Jesus Christ our Savior casts out fear (1 Jn 4:18). The more we  grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, the more we  know this love that surpasses knowledge— the more we are  filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Eph 3:14-21). The more we can serve and praise the Lord in holiness and righteousness , without fear. For He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Psalm 34:1-4
I will bless the LORD at all times;
… His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul will make its boast in the LORD;
… The humble will hear it and rejoice.
Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.
I sought the LORD, and He answered me,
… and delivered me from all my fears.
