Upright Dawn

February 28, 2009

callatt1d

Psalm 112:4
Even in darkness light dawns{arises} for the upright,
For the gracious and compassionate and righteous one.

Proverbs 4:18
The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,
Shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

____________________________________________________________________

It’s only by the LORD’s grace, compassion and lovingkindness that we can stand upright before Him. Only when we have our faces turned toward the Son can we continue to walk uprightly on the path of righteousness.

ūüôā

The righteous & upright are commanded to rejoice and praise the LORD as they walk and stand! Rejoice and feel the Son shine rising on your up turned face! Let it fill you up!

Psalm 64:10    Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in Him; let all the upright in heart praise Him!

______________________________________________________________

Be Lifted Up!

Psalm 146:8   The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous.

Psalm 7:10   My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.

All you who are bowed down, weary, faint
Lift up your head to the Son
Lift up your heads, O you gates of praise. –Isa 60:18

Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. –Ps 32:11

Be lifted up!
Open the door for the King of glory to come in.

Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is He, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty‚ÄĒ He is the King of glory.
Selah –Ps 24:9-10

For its only as you lift up your head
And keep your face turned towards the Son
That you will be strengthened and revived
Lifted up to stand upright.

Psalm 12:5¬†¬† ¬†“Because of the devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety for which he longs.”

Faith – Keep Walking!

February 25, 2009

Hebrews 11:1    Now faith is the *substance[5287] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

From Netbibe: http://classic.net.bible.org/verse.php?book=Heb&chapter=11&verse=1

*substance — hupostasis [5287]

Definition: 1) a setting or placing under
1a) thing put under, substructure, foundation
2) that which has foundation, is firm
2a) that which has actual existence
2a1) a substance, real being
2b) the substantial quality, nature, of a person or thing
2c) the steadfastness of mind, firmness, courage, resolution
2c1) confidence, firm trust, assurance
from a compound of 5259 and 2476; a setting under (support), i.e.
(figuratively) concretely, essence, or abstractly, assurance
(objectively or subjectively):-confidence, confident, person,
substance.

Faith is the foundation of our hope, it convinces us of the existence of  things we do not see!

2 Cor 5:7 NKJV   For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Cor 5:7 NIV   We live by faith, not by sight.

2 Cor 5:7 NLT    That is why we live by believing and not by seeing.

2 Cor 5:7¬†NMSG ¬†It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going.

Jesus described a person without faith as a person without foundation.

Luke 6:49   But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.

Romans 10:17   So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

To build up your foundation of hope in Christ, hear His words AND put them into practice!¬†It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going, that keeps us walking by faith and not by sight!
Hold fast! He who promised is faithful.
Keep trusting in the unseen and walking by faith
Soon the working of My mighty hand will be seen
The performance of My word will be evident to all.

Harps of God

February 25, 2009

From:
Hidden Music of the Bible

The following is very interesting in light of my article for this month:
The Harps of God

Revelation 15:1-5 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues‚ÄĒlast, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 2And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. 3They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying:
“Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.
4Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous¬†acts¬†have been¬†revealed.”
5After this I looked and in heaven the temple, that is, the tabernacle{tent} of the Testimony, was opened.

The Biblical Harp (Nevel)

22-string-harp

The harp (also refereed to in the Bible as “Kinnor”) that you see here is the first replica of the Biblical harp mentioned in Psalms. This harp was reconstructed in accordance with the Biblical description of the Temple’s harp by Micha and Shoshana Harrari and is known in the world as the Harrari Harp. This harp has received vast media attention when it was built some 20 years ago. Being the first true replica of the harp that was playing in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem attracted much attention to it. Hearing this very harp playing is an experience you marvel on. It is assumed to produce the exact sounds that our Levies and Kings heard when visiting the Temple.

Besides it perfect beauty and its great sound, it also has a truly amazing attribute. If you look closely you can count 22 strings on this harp! 22 strings matching the number of the letters in the Hebrew alphabet! This makes one wonder what else is based on the Divine qualities of the Hebrew alphabet? One idea is that the traditional Israeli Nevel harp was made with 22 strings corresponding to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet so that words can literally be spelled out musically on these harps. This was actually tried and the sound waves were studied from Psalm 148. Below are some of the findings.

_______________________________________________________________________

Music hidden in the Bible

ps148

The amazing graphic above is a representation of the sound track of Psalm 148 being played letter by hebrew letter on the 22 string harp. Amazingly a vivid imprint of a Star of David appeared in the visual graph of the sound of the word “Hallelujah.” The Six-pointed star showed around the forth syllable, which sounds as “Yah,” (God” in Hebrew).

_______________________________________________________________________

The attributes found in the Jewish star are quite amazing. The Jewish Star (of David) is also referred to as a MAGEN DAVID (The shield of David). When you look at the these images below (right to left) you’ll find the shape of each of the 22 Hebrew Alphabet letters! The last two letters on the right box are final letter (final Mem followed by final Noon).

Persist

February 24, 2009

Luke 18:1
One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for
constant prayer and to show them that they must never give up!

PersistFlower

By God’s hand a wildflower can persist and come up in an infinitesimal crack in the concrete. We also by His hand, can come up from the depths of what seem like impossible circumstances and bloom through the concrete of the hardest times, if we persist in prayer and don’t give up!

Luke 11:8    I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

From Netbible:   http://net.bible.org/verse.php?book=Luk&chapter=11&verse=8
Persistence here refers to a combination of ideas, a boldness or audacity that persists over time. Some translate the term shamelessness or importunity. It’s a refusal to give up or let go.

Hebrews 10:35-37 (NLT)   So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that He has promised. For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

______________________________________________________________________

Persist! Never give up!

Do not be afraid any longer, only believe. –Mk 5:36

Do not throw away your confident trust in the Lord Jesus
For it brings great reward.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. –Heb 4:16

Patient endurance is what is needed now.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. –Heb 10:23

Do not give up or let go of any of the Lords promises
In just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay
Persist and receive all that He has promised.

Stretch Out Your Hands

February 20, 2009

Psalm 134    BEHOLD, BLESS (affectionately and gratefully praise) the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, [singers] who by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in holiness and to the sanctuary and bless the Lord [affectionately and gratefully praise Him]! The Lord bless you out of Zion, even He Who made heaven and earth.

Job 11:13-19    Yet if you devote your heart to Him and stretch out your hands to Him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then you will lift up your face without shame; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.

1 Chronicles 16:29-34 ¬†¬†Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name.¬†Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness and in holy array.¬†Tremble and reverently fear before Him, all the earth’s peoples;¬†The world also shall be established, so it cannot be moved.¬†Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice; and let men say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!” Let the sea roar, and all the things that fill it; let the fields rejoice, and all that is in them.¬†Then shall the trees of the wood sing out for joy before the Lord,¬†for He comes to judge and govern the earth.¬†O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;¬†for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

Isaiah 55:11-12   So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out [from the spiritual exile caused by sin and evil into the homeland] with joy and be led forth [by your Leader, the Lord Himself, and His word] with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Faith – Hold Fast!

A mighty oak tree comes from a little nut who holds its ground!

Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly. -Job 8:7 NKJV

Do not despise small beginnings
Do not despair at the mighty mountain of obstacles before you.

Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley; Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
-Isa 40:4-5

The mountain before you will be flattened by the LORD’s hand
For its not by power nor by might but by My Spirit
… declares the LORD.
The foundation has been laid
It will be completed and perfected
… by the author and finisher of your faith
Stand firm in full assurance on the foundation of your faith
The *substance of things hoped for,
… the evidence of things not seen
Hold fast! He who promised is faithful.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. -Heb 10:22-25

Zech 4:6-10 NLT ¬†¬†Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty.¬†Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel’s way; it will flatten out before him! Then Zerubbabel will set the final stone of the Temple in place, and the people will shout: “May God bless it! May God bless it”. Then another message came to me from the LORD: “Zerubbabel is the one who laid the foundation of this Temple, and he will complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me. Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. For these seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.”

Sing! Shout for Joy in Zion!

February 16, 2009

Jeremiah 31:12¬†(AMP) ¬†¬†They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion and shall flow together and be radiant with joy over the goodness of the Lord–for the corn, for the juice [of the grape, new wine], for the oil, and for the young of the flock and the herd. And their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall not sorrow or languish any more at all.

Jeremiah 33:10-11¬†(AMP) ¬†¬†Thus says the Lord: Yet again there shall be heard in this place of which you say, It is a desolate waste, without man and without beast–even in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast–

11[There shall be heard again] the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing as they bring sacrifices of thanksgiving into the house of the Lord, Give praise and thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy and kindness and steadfast love endure forever! For I will cause the captivity of the land to be reversed and return to be as it was at first, says the Lord.

Sing! Shout to the LORD with the voice of triumph! –Ps 47:1
Give thanks to His name and glory in His praise. –Ps 106:47
Yokes are destroyed with a voice of gladness –Isa 10:27
The oil of joy flows with deliverance in Zion.

Sing! Shout for joy on the height of Zion!
For the LORD of hosts He is good
His mercy endures forever
Great is His faithfulness thru all generations! –Ps 100:5

There is deliverance in Zion as the streams of God come together
And overflow!

Streams of mercy, never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise.

Joel 2:23-24, 32   So rejoice, O sons of Zion, and be glad in the LORD your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain, the early and latter rain as before. The threshing-floors will be filled with grain; the vats will *overflow[07783] with new wine and oil.

And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be delivered; For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the LORD has said, AND among the remnant whom the LORD calls.

Sons of His Quiver

February 11, 2009

Psalm 45:3-5    Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One,
With Your glory and Your majesty.
4 And in Your majesty ride on victoriously because of truth, humility, and righteousness;

Let Your right hand teach You awesome things.
5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies;
The peoples fall under Your feet.

Lamentations 3:13    He has caused the arrows of His quiver to pierce my loins.

The King rides forth in majestic splendor when He appears in full royal battle regalia. He rides on victoriously because of truth, humility, and righteousness. His right hand symbolizes the military strength of the Lord of Hosts, mighty in battle. The weapons of the King are His mighty sword of truth and sharp arrows.

Usually if the right hand is dominant, the right eye is also dominant. This means that the bow would be held in the left hand. The bowstring and arrow would be shot using the right hand. The arrows of the Kings quiver, held in His right hand are aimed at the inner most part of their target. These sharp arrows are forged in burning hot coals of fire. They are polished and made sharp to pierce the loins and bring His truth to the inner most parts of their target. In Lamentation 3:13, these sharp arrows of the King are called ‘sons of His quiver’. Isaiah a prophet of God is also compared to a polished arrow concealed in the Kings quiver (Isa 49:2), a ‘son of His quiver’. A sharp arrow of the Lord of Hosts, forged, polished and made ready by hot burning coals of fire (Ps 120:4). These sharp arrows will be used to carry out the Lord’s vengeance.

Sharpen{make bright, polish}¬†the arrows, fill the quivers! The LORD has aroused the spirit of the kings of the Medes, Because His purpose is against Babylon to destroy it; For it is the vengeance of the LORD, vengeance for His temple. –Jer 51:11

Isaiah 49:2   He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in His quiver.
Isaiah 50:4   The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.

Morning by morning breathe anew in Me
Wait on Me, the Sovereign LORD

Yield to My refining process.

These (trials) have come so that your faith‚ÄĒof greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire‚ÄĒmay be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. –1 Pe 1:7

Lamentations 3:25-26   The LORD is good to those whose hope{trust} is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation{deliverance} of the LORD.

Job 23:11-12, 10   My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside.
I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.
He knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

Teach me, O LORD, to yield to Your ways and timing. As the battle heats up, help me to be still and remain hidden as I am polished. Help me to wait, O LORD, on Your perfect timing. From NETBible —¬†http://net.bible.org/dictionary.php?word=quiver

QUIVER¬†– kwiv’-er (ashpah, teli; pharetra (Sirach 26:12)): A case or sheath for carrying arrows, a part of the ordinary equipment of the warrior, both foot-soldier and charioteer (Job 39:23;¬†Isa 22:6), and also of the huntsman (Gen 27:3). Figuratively of a group in passages where children (Ps 127:5) or prophets of Yahweh (Isa 49:2) are spoken of as arrows. Arrows are called bene ‘ashpah, “sons of the quiver” (Lam 3:13). By identifying the arrows with the death they produce, the quiver is likened to an open grave (Jer 5:16).
