Dew on the Lilies

January 30, 2010

Hosea 14:5-9
I will be like the dew to Israel;
He shall grow like the lily,
And lengthen his roots like Lebanon.
6 His branches shall spread;
His beauty shall be like an olive tree,
And his fragrance like Lebanon.
7 Those who dwell under his shadow shall return;
They shall be revived like grain,
And grow like a vine.
Their scent shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
8 “ Ephraim shall say, ‘What have I to do anymore with idols?’
I have heard and observed him.
I am like a green cypress tree;
Your fruit is found in Me.”
9 Who is wise?
Let him understand these things.
Who is prudent?
Let him know them.
For the ways of the LORD are right;
The righteous walk in them,
But transgressors stumble in them.

These scriptures of a dew dripping lily …
It’s Jesus the head from Hosea 14 …

It’s also the bride from Song 2:1!

I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. -Song 2:1

1. A lily has a strong, sweet fragrant scent. Jesus gave himself as a fragrant offering for us.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant{a sweet smelling savour} offering and sacrifice to God. -Eph 5:1-2

2. A lily is white; it’s whiteness exceeding all other flowers. From Netbible Song 2:1 – lily[07799] – shuwshan a lily from its whiteness. Within it are seven grains or seeds that are the color of gold. White is a picture of purity. Jesus is the spotless, pure, Passover lamb.

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. -1 Cor 5:7

… but {you were redeemed} with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. -1 Pe 1:19

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. -2 Cor 5:21

The bride of the Lamb will be clothed in white
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. -Eph 5:25-27

And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. -Rev 19:8

3. A lily is very fruitful. One root may put forth fifty bulbs. Jesus thru His death and resurrection brings much glory to His Father.

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. -Jn 12:24

By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. -Jn 15:8

4. A lily, {according to the writer Pliny}, is tall among the other flowers and yet hangs its head down. Jesus being equal with God, humbled himself to death on the cross.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. -Phil 2:5-11

5. The lily has many medicinal qualities. According to the ancients, it could be used to restore a lost voice, help faintness, was good for the liver, and helped dropsy. The Sun of Righteousness also has healing in His wings.

But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. -Mal 4:2

Open to  me My dove … My head is covered with dew, my locks with the drops of the night. -Song 5:2

A precious oil upon the head
Running down the head on to the body
Running down the robe, dripping off the hem of His garments
Precious dew descending upon the mountains of Zion
For there the LORD commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs{dawn, light, joy} -Isa 26:19

The dew of dawn, the dew of light/joy the word for dew is TAL !!!!!!!
“Tallita kumi.” “Little girl who is now in my tallit”, arise! —->

Little one who is NOW in my Tallit arise! You are the dew of dawn – the diamond shining in My hand with the light of the rising Son!
{From End of Your Rope?}

Psalm 133:1-3
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.

I Am Helped

January 29, 2010

Psalm 13:1-3 AMP
1HOW LONG will You forget me, O Lord? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

2How long must I lay up cares within me and have sorrow in my heart day after day? How long shall my enemy exalt himself over me?

3Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; lighten the eyes [of my faith to behold Your face in the pitchlike darkness], lest I sleep the sleep of death …

A heart heavy with sorrow
Overwhelmed
In pitchlike darkness I drop to my knees …

Before His throne I’m bowed at His feet -Heb 4:16
O God, You are my God! -Ps 63:1;Ps 118:28
In Thee I confidently trust! -Ps 91:2
There’s an incense so sweet
My grateful heart sings
I lift up my eyes and see
My Savior! Lord Jesus!
My strength, my song, my shield!

Exodus 15:2
The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my [impenetrable]shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and with my song I thank Him.

Grateful Hearts
Karen Holland … 9-2006

Hearts touched, softened by pain
The sufferings of Christ flow
Weakened hearts rely on His strength
Hearts softened, draw near the throne
The comfort of Christ overflows
Boldly hearts find His mercy and grace
His comfort deeper than any pain
Hearts softened, touched
Hearts perfected by the author the finisher of their faith
Hearts lifted in praise
Hearts lifted from the depths to the heights
Grateful hearts
Thankful, lifted in praise.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

2 Corinthians 12:9
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us then come boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Behold His Face

January 21, 2010

Psalm 11:7   The LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold[02372] His face.

From NetBible Ps 11:7
*To “behold” God’s “face” means to have access to His presence and to experience His favor — to see, perceive, prophesy, provide

Seven-Fold Glory

Revelation 1:12-16
Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

  1. His head
His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow
    {Wool is commonly supposed to be an emblem of eternity; white is the color of purity and of triumph}

Daniel 7:9 I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure{lamb’s} wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, Its wheels were a burning fire.

  2. His eyes
His eyes like a flame of fire
    {Bright, piercing, all seeing, flashing light, and also a consuming fire of the wicked}

Revelation 19:12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.

  3. His feet
His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace
    {Denoting his stability and strength; Shedding forth splendor like burnished brass heated in a furnace.}
  4. His voice
His voice as the sound of many waters

Revelation 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps.

  5. His right hand
He had in his right hand seven stars

Isaiah 62:3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

  6. His mouth
Out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Revelation 19:15,21 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. … And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

  7. His countenance
His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength

Revelation 21:23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Matthew 17:2 And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.

Malachi 4:2 But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

The ABC’s of Thanksgiving

January 19, 2010

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame.
Even when times are hard –
Fierce winds are bound to blow –
God is forever able;
Hold on to what you know.
Imagine life without His love.
Joy would cease to be.
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee.
Move out of “Camp Complaining.”
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone.
Quit looking at the future;
Redeem the time at hand.
Start every day with worship.
To thank is a command!
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky,
We’ll run the race with gratitude,
eXalting God most high.
Yes, there will be good times and there will be bad, but . . .
Zion waits in glory, where no one is ever sad.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

End of Your Rope?

January 17, 2010

Blessed are the poor{helpless, powerless to accomplish an end} in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. -Mt 5:3 NKJV

You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and His rule. -Mt 5:3 MSG

*Blessed is an invitation to come into the grace God offers.

When you’re at the end of your rope …

Don’t tie a knot and hang on … reach out to touch the hem of His garment…

But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves released from the stall. -Mal 4:2

Humble yourself in the sight of the King
Lift up your eyes and extol the King
Sing praises to the King, enthrone Him
See the train{hem} of His robe fill the temple with glory
Be lifted up by His hand, set high upon a Rock
Behold the King of Glory!

As waters cover the sea …

I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up,
… And have not let my foes rejoice over me.
O LORD my God, I cried out to You,
… And You healed me. -Ps 30:1-2

***

Make us glad in proportion to the days in which You have afflicted us and to the years in which we have suffered evil. Let Your work [the signs of Your power] be revealed to Your servants, and Your [glorious] majesty to their children. And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands–yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it. -Ps 90:15-17

Look at this ‘picture’ painted by this verse ….
The Tallit is the fringe of Jesus’ prayer Shawl — the hem of His garment — healing in His wings

In Mark 5:35-43 we read: Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Tallita kumi.” The text says this Hebrew phrase is to be interpreted, “Damsel, I say to you arise.” It seems this interpreting phrase may have been added to the gospel at a later time in an attempt to interpret “Tallita kumi.” The reason for believing this is that Tallita is not Hebrew for damsel or young girl. A more accurate translation of Tallita kumi is “ Arise to my Tallit or Arise even as my Tallit. Some think a more accurate translation is “Little girl who is now in my tallit”, arise! A dramatic picture of Yahshua lifting her up with one hand and raising his Tallit heavenward with the other which is a customary way of prayer.

—> What a beautiful picture of being ‘lifted up’ and covered beneath His wings — rising with His healing wings!

This is beautiful! To hear the King say “Little one who is NOW in my tallit — arise”. And the image of reaching out for His hem — touching it and actually becoming part of it! — part of the train of His robe that fills the temple with glory!!!!!

It’s from this low humble place — the train is the very edge of the Lord’s garment near His feet — that fills the temple with glory.

These little ones now in His tallit arising — His glory is revealed just as in Mark 5!

The tallit looks like a little rope — the little ones arising are not hanging on to it tho — the King takes the ones ‘dead’ to themselves by the hand! These are the ones who are lifted up and rise in the power of His wings!!!!

The dust will sing!!!!!!!

Isaiah 26:19 Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs{dawn, light, joy}, And the earth shall cast out the dead.

The little ones in His tallit will shine like dew caught in the light of the rising sun — like diamonds!!!!!!!!

From Netbible Isaiah 26:19 The dew of dawn, the dew of light/joy the word for dew[02919] is TAL !!!!!!!
“Tallita kumi.” “Little girl who is now in my tallit”, arise! —->

Little one who is NOW in my Tallit arise! You are the dew of dawn – the diamond shining in My hand with the light of the rising Son!

Diamonds in His Hand!

Look at these scriptures and word ‘pictures’!  :)

1. Dew diamonds
Just as diamonds are hidden in black coal and formed under extreme pressure; dew forms in the dark night. The dew is not seen until the light of dawn shines thru it as the sun rises. In the rising sun light the dew shines like diamonds.

But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves released from the stall. -Mal 4:2

The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. You will be a crown of splendour in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah{my delight is in her}, and your land Beulah{married}; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married. -Isa 62:2-4

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. -Mt 5:14-16

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you and His glory will be seen upon you. -Isa 60:1-2

Make us glad in proportion to the days in which You have afflicted us and to the years in which we have suffered evil. Let Your work [the signs of Your power] be revealed to Your servants, and Your [glorious] majesty to their children. And let the beauty and delightfulness and favor{dew} of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands–yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it. -Ps 90:15-17

3. When the dust sings

Isaiah 26:19    Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs{dawn, light, joy}, And the earth shall cast out the dead.

Psalm 110:3   Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You [will spring forth] Your young, who are as the dew.

Isaiah 61:10-11 AMP    I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

11For as [surely as] the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so [surely] the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations [through the self-fulfilling power of His word].

Isaiah 60:8    Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows?

Blessed

January 13, 2010
The BeatitudesMatthew 5:3-12
NKJV MSG
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 3 You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 4 You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. 5 You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. 6 You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.
7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 7 You’re blessed when you care. At the moment of being ‘care-full,’ you find yourselves cared for.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 8 You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. 9 You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 10 You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom.
11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you 11-12 Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.

Bow!

January 10, 2010

John 12:24-26
Verily, verily I say unto you, unless a corn of wheat falls to the ground
and dies, it remains alone, only a single seed. But if it dies it bears much  fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this  world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there will also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honor.

Unless ‘it’ dies
Without blood on the corn
There is no life.

But if it dies it bears much fruit.
Alone you can do nothing! -Jn 15:5

BOW
Come before the King in surrender and humilty
Heed the cry of Jesus – ‘Follow me’
Do not conform to the pattern of this world
Present yourself, a living, holy sacrifice,
Pleasing to God. -Rom 12:1-2

Wherever I AM is
There the servant of Jesus will also be.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very
nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. -Phil 2:5-11

This is what the LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my
footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the LORD. “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.” -Isa 66:1-2

BOW!
Tremble at His word
Serve the King
King Jesus!

Psalm 95:6-7
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.

Sunrise

January 10, 2010

Sunrise

If I had the chance
To go back again
Take a different road, bear a lighter load
Tell an easy story

I would walk away
With my yesterdays
And I would not trade what is broken for beauty only

Every valley
Every bitter chill
Made me ready to climb back up the hill
And find that . . .

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You’re my horizon
You’re the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

There’s a moment when
Faith caves in
There’s a time when every soul is certain God is gone

But every shadow is evidence of sun
And every tomorrow holds out hope for us
For every one of us

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You’re my horizon
You’re the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

You alone will shine
You alone can resurrect this heart of mine

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You’re my horizon
You’re the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

You are sunrise

Luke 1:78-79     Through the tender mercy of our God, with which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.

2 Peter 1:19     And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Jesus our dayspring — our sunrise after the dark.
—-> the dayspring has a place on earth at any given time; it is always morning somewhere! So…

At any given time a new day could be dawning, and/or the Day Star or
Morning Star could be rising in you heart!

This hymn captures these ideas perfectly.

Christ, whose glory fills the skies
Charles Wesley

Christ, whose glory fills the skies,
Christ, the true, the only light,
Sun of Righteousness, arise,
triumph o’er the shades of night;
Dayspring from on high, be near;
Daystar, in my heart appear.

That song Sunrise really brings out the idea of beauty for ashes too —
eternal life for death …

and on that day when the sun rises for the last time
never to set again,
all that will remain is everlasting light …
beauty for ashes …

Sun and Shield

January 9, 2010

Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

The Lord God our sun to enlighten and quicken,
Our sun to direct, warm and comfort,
Is also our shield and defense; our protection.
An ever present help in times of trouble. -Ps 46:1

The LORD is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold{strength} of my life —
of whom shall I be afraid? -Ps 27:1

Teach me Your way, O LORD, and I will walk in Your truth;
Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify Your name forever. -Ps 86:11-12

For You, O LORD, are a shield about me,
