I Am Helped

Psalm 13:1-3 AMP
1HOW LONG will You forget me, O Lord? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

2How long must I lay up cares within me and have sorrow in my heart day after day? How long shall my enemy exalt himself over me?

3Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; lighten the eyes [of my faith to behold Your face in the pitchlike darkness], lest I sleep the sleep of death …

A heart heavy with sorrow
In pitchlike darkness I drop to my knees …

Before His throne I’m bowed at His feet -Heb 4:16
O God, You are my God! -Ps 63:1;Ps 118:28
In Thee I confidently trust! -Ps 91:2
There’s an incense so sweet
My grateful heart sings
I lift up my eyes and see
My Savior! Lord Jesus!
My strength, my song, my shield!

Exodus 15:2
The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my [impenetrable]shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart leaps for joy, and with my song I thank Him.

Grateful Hearts
Karen Holland … 9-2006

Hearts touched, softened by pain
The sufferings of Christ flow
Weakened hearts rely on His strength
Hearts softened, draw near the throne
The comfort of Christ overflows
Boldly hearts find His mercy and grace
His comfort deeper than any pain
Hearts softened, touched
Hearts perfected by the author the finisher of their faith
Hearts lifted in praise
Hearts lifted from the depths to the heights
Grateful hearts
Thankful, lifted in praise.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

2 Corinthians 12:9
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us then come boldly to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
