Songs of Deliverance

Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. -Isa 1:18

Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
… And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
… Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. -Ps 51:6-7

I trust in the Lord and His unfailing love
He surrounds me with songs of deliverance.

I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. -Ps 34:4

Thou the enemy be strong; I will overcome by seeking His songs of deliverance.

Stretch out Your hand from above; Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters from the hand of foreigners. -Ps 144:7

I trust in the Lord and His unfailing love

He[Jesus] said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” -Jn 8:12

Thou the enemy be strong; I will overcome by seeking His songs of deliverance.

Guard{keep} my soul and deliver me; Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You. -Ps 25:20

And I’m hiding in the shadow of His wings,
Yes I’m hiding in the shadow of His wings

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. -Ps 46:1-2

He covers me with love, His unfailing love,
And surrounds me with songs of deliverance.

Bow down Your ear to me, deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me. -Ps 31:2

Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies. -Ps 36:5

I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; -Isa 44:3

Thou the enemy be strong; I will overcome by seeking His songs of deliverance.

Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. … Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me. The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life. -Ps 42:5,7-8

And I’m hiding in the shadow of His wings,
Yes I’m hiding in the shadow of His wings

Please let a double portion of Your spirit be upon me. -2 Ki 2:9

“ Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” -Isa 2:3

He covers me with love, His unfailing love,

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” -Ps 91:14-16

Living Stones

March 28, 2010

Come to Him the Living Stone!

See the living stones beautifully built and laid
Resting upon the Corner Stone!

Stand up and bless the LORD your God
… Forever and ever!
Blessed be Your glorious name,
… Which is exalted above all blessing and praise! -Neh 9:5 NKJV

Stand up and praise!
COME stand upon the Rock in His marvelous light and praise!

The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted! -Ps 18:46

I WILL confess and praise You [O God] with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name{Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name.}! -Ps 138:1-2 AMP

1 Peter 2:4-9
Come
to Him [then, to that] Living Stone which men tried and threw away,
but which is chosen [and] precious in God’s sight.

5[Come] and, like living stones, be yourselves built [into] a spiritual house, for a holy (dedicated, consecrated) priesthood, to offer up [those] spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.

6For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen (honored), precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] shall never be ]disappointed or put to shame.

7To you then who believe (who adhere to, trust in, and rely on Him) is the preciousness; but for those who disbelieve [it is true], The [very] Stone which the builders rejected has become the main Cornerstone,

8And, A Stone that will cause stumbling and a Rock that will give [men] offense; they stumble because they disobey and disbelieve [God’s] Word, as those [who reject Him] were destined (appointed) to do.

9But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

YADAH

March 27, 2010

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise[03034] Him.

From NetBible Psalm 28:7:
*praise: [03034]yadah
To revere or worship with extended hands
The giving of oneself in worship and adoration – absolute surrender.

More YADAH!

From NetBible Psalm 138:1;Psalm 138:2

Psalm 138:1-2 AMP    I WILL confess and praise[03034] You [O God] with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise[03034] Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name{Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name.}!

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge[03045] Him, and He shall direct your paths.

From NetBible Proverbs 3:6

*acknowledge: [03045]yada
Heb “know him.” The verb יָדַע (yadah, “to know”) includes mental awareness of who God is and the consequential submission to his lordship. To know him is to obey him. The sage is calling for a life of trust and obedience in which the disciple sees the Lord in every event and relies on him. To acknowledge the Lord in every event means trusting and obeying him for guidance in right conduct.

Still more YADAH!

Genesis 29:35 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise[03034] the LORD.” Therefore she called his name Judah[03063]. Then she stopped bearing.

From NetBible Gen 29:35:

*Judah[03063]
the name Judah (יְהוּדָה, yÿhudah) means “he will be praised” and reflects the sentiment Leah expresses in the statement recorded earlier in the verse.

*Judah[03063] means He will be praised and is from the root YADAH[03034!!!!!!!!

Psalm 145:10 All Your works shall praise[03034] You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You!

See the Plumb Line

March 21, 2010

Zechariah 4:9-10 AMP
The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundations of this house; his hands shall also finish it. Then you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me [His messenger] to you. 10Who [with reason] despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice when they see the plummet[068] in the hand of Zerubbabel. [These seven] are the eyes of the Lord which run to and fro throughout the whole earth.

Who will see the plummet, the plumb line?
Who has eyes to see, ears to hear?

The eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. -2 Chr 16:9

The stone upon which are seven eyes
Is laid before My Servant the BRANCH

… To those whose hearts are completely Mine
… To those who walk in My ways
… To those who keep My commands …

This stone is opened. A wondrous sign.

My servants ‘see’ the plumb line
And rejoice!

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, 7to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; 8To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9To execute on them the written judgment—This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD! -Ps 149:6-9

HALLELUJAH!

Zechariah 3:6-9 NKJV
Then the Angel of the LORD admonished Joshua, saying, 7 “Thus says the LORD of hosts:
… ‘ If you will walk in My ways,
… And if you will keep My command,
… Then you shall also judge My house,
… And likewise have charge of My courts;
… I will give you places to walk
… Among these who stand here.
… 8 ‘ Hear, O Joshua, the high priest,
… You and your companions who sit before you,
For they are a wondrous sign;
… For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.
… 9 For behold, the stone[068]
… That I have laid before Joshua:
… Upon the stone are seven eyes.
… Behold, I will engrave[06605] its inscription,’
… Says the LORD of hosts,

,,, ‘ And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

From NetBible Zec 3:9 & Zec 4:10:
[06605] engrave
to open, throw open, loose

[068]
eben, stone, precious stones, stones of fire

Revelation 11:1
Then I was given a reed[2563] like a measuring rod[4464]. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure[3354] the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

From Netbible Rev 11:1

reed[2563]
a staff made of a reed, a measuring rod, a writer’s reed, a pen

measuring rod[4464]
a staff, a walking stick, a twig, rod, branch
as used on a journey, or to lean upon, or by shepherds
with a rod of iron, indicates the severest, most rigorous rule
a royal sceptre

measure[3354]

Isaiah 11:4
But with righteousness He will judge the poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; and He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.

Revelation 19:15
From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

The rod, the measuring standard is the sword of the Spirit, the word of God(Eph 6:17).

The stone with seven eyes ….
Opened before Joshua
Is the plumbline in Zerubbabels hand
The measuring rod
The measuring standard
The sword of the Spirit
The word of God!!!!

His Arms

March 19, 2010

Psalm 94:18-19
If I say, “My foot is slipping,” Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up. When anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul.

Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

Firebrand

March 18, 2010

The weapons of the King are both the sword and the flaming arrow.

Psalm 45:3-5    Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty.
4 And in Your majesty ride on victoriously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; Let Your right hand teach You awesome things.
5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; The peoples fall under Your feet.

Zec 3:2   The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man[Joshua] a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

a fire brand is a burning stick —> a flaming arrow
—> that causes trouble for enemies of the LORD!

Psalm 120:3-4   What shall be given to you? Or what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue? … Sharp arrows of a [mighty] warrior, with [glowing] coals of the broom tree.

—-> These sharp arrows are forged in burning hot coals of fire. They are polished and made sharp to pierce the loins and bring His truth to the inner most parts of their target.

Lamentations 3:13    He has caused the arrows of His quiver to pierce my loins.

Psalm 51:6-7, 10-12 AMP
6Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart. 7Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean[ceremonially]; wash me, and I shall [in reality] be whiter than snow. …

10Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me. 11Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. 12Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Rock of Offense

March 13, 2010

Seems the following offends many. Many consider the following to be speaking against the power and the work of the Holy Spirit? Because confusion occurs?

Maybe confusion is occurring because some are using signs & wonders as a measuring standard instead of God’s word  ….

Signs and wonders follow those who believe{Mk 16:15-18}, but do not determine truth.

Consider this group.

Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

This group had signs&wonders, did miracles in Jesus’ name and called Lord. They did not have true bread because Jesus did not know them. They were not abiding in Him.

John 6:53-58
Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

John 15:7-8
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Also consider that it is with signs&wonders that many will be deceived.

Revelation 13:11-14
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

***
Jeremiah 2:13
For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters,
And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.

What is the measuring standard to be used?

Revelation 11:1
Then I was given a reed[2563] like a measuring rod[4464]. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure[3354] the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there.

From Netbible Rev 11:1

reed[2563]
a staff made of a reed, a measuring rod, a writer’s reed, a pen

measuring rod[4464]
a staff, a walking stick, a twig, rod, branch
as used on a journey, or to lean upon, or by shepherds
with a rod of iron, indicates the severest, most rigorous rule
a royal sceptre

measure[3354]
to judge according to a rule or standard
