YADAH

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise[03034] Him.

From NetBible Psalm 28:7:
*praise: [03034]yadah
To revere or worship with extended hands
The giving of oneself in worship and adoration – absolute surrender.

More YADAH!

From NetBible Psalm 138:1;Psalm 138:2

Psalm 138:1-2 AMP    I WILL confess and praise[03034] You [O God] with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise[03034] Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name{Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your name.}!

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge[03045] Him, and He shall direct your paths.

From NetBible Proverbs 3:6

*acknowledge: [03045]yada
Heb “know him.” The verb יָדַע (yadah, “to know”) includes mental awareness of who God is and the consequential submission to his lordship. To know him is to obey him. The sage is calling for a life of trust and obedience in which the disciple sees the Lord in every event and relies on him. To acknowledge the Lord in every event means trusting and obeying him for guidance in right conduct.

Still more YADAH!

Genesis 29:35 And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I will praise[03034] the LORD.” Therefore she called his name Judah[03063]. Then she stopped bearing.

From NetBible Gen 29:35:

*Judah[03063]
the name Judah (יְהוּדָה, yÿhudah) means “he will be praised” and reflects the sentiment Leah expresses in the statement recorded earlier in the verse.

*Judah[03063] means He will be praised and is from the root YADAH[03034!!!!!!!!

Psalm 145:10 All Your works shall praise[03034] You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You!

Yadah is tied in with giving thanks. It is translated thanks in Ps. 18:49 & 30:4, 12 in the NJKV.

In my article “Thanksgiving in Worship” I concluded, “So, as we enter God’s gates to come before his presence with our hands extended in thanksgiving, let us remember that we do so, not only in gratitude for his mighty acts, but as a presentation of our bodies as a living sacrifice in covenant with him, acknowledging that he is supreme ruler of heaven and earth.”
