Blessed Trust

Psalm 40:1-4
1I waited patiently for the LORD;
… And He inclined{turned} to me and heard my cry.
2He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire;
… He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.
3He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
… Many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD.
4Blessed is the *man[01397] who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods{those falling away toward a lie}.

You may feel as if you are weak, sinking in the miry clay
Unable to save yourself.

But if you cry out and trust in the LORD
If you wait patiently, expectantly, and depend on Him alone
He will make you strong in His power and might
He will establish your steps
The steps of a mighty warrior.

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. -Isa 40:31 AMP

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand. -Ps 149:6

Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the *man[01397] who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the *man[01397] who trusts{takes refuge} in Him!
