Consider the Lilies

Matthew 6:28-30 Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

Have faith, trust in the Lord
Wait on Him.

Consider the lilies
They belong to Him
He cares for them
They neither toil nor spin
Yet none is dressed in more splendor than them.

Worry not
Each lily is held and treasured by His mighty hand.

My beloved is mine, and I am his. He feeds his flock among the lilies. -Song 2:16

Quote Thomas Merton:

“What is the use of praying if at the very moment of prayer, we have so little confidence in God that we are busy planning our own kind of answer to our prayer?”

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! -Isa 30:18 AMP

Mt 6:24-25 … No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. THEREFORE I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

All we’ve seen of God’s provision teaches us to trust Him for what is unseen.
