As the Hen Gathers Her Chicks

February 19, 2012

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.

The hen gathers her chicks if there is danger. She gathers them under her wings and uses her body as a cover to keep them safe.

Jesus gave His body for our covering. He is our refuge and safe hiding place. He longs for us to run to Him and to be gathered, protected under His wings as His children.

He who dwells in the secret place{shelter} of the Most High

Is hidden
In the secret place of His tabernacle
The secret place of His presence
Set high upon a rock
Preserved, out of the reach of any trouble
Surrounded by songs of deliverance. -Ps 27:5,31:20,32:7

will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. -Ps 91:1

Kept as the apple of His eye
Hidden under the shadow of His wings.

The Lord your keeper
And protective shade on your right hand
[the side not carrying a shield]. -Ps 121:5 AMP

A refuge from the storm
A defense for the helpless
Strength for the weak
A place of shade,
Rest from the heat. -Ps 17:8, 121:5; Isa 25:4

Isaiah 32:2like a hiding place from the wind, and a cover from the tempest, like rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Jesus our covering, our hiding place
The Alpha and Omega
The Beginning and the End
The Word made flesh
The Word fully God
The Almighty.
-Jn 1,14;Rev 1:8

Held in the Hollow

February 18, 2012

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand or with the breadth of His hand marked off the heavens? -Isa 40:12

A cupped hand
The hollow of His hand
Protected on all sides

My dove
You are held safe in the hollow of My hand
Trust me to revive, refresh and restore you
My living waters flow
From that place where you are kept safe
Held in the hollow of My hand.

Rest here
Surrender all
I know you have no strength of your own.

Wait here, held in the palm of My hand
Held in My gaze
The apple of My eye
Until I give you wings{strength} to fly. -Isa 60:8;Ps 55:6

Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you{your name} on the palms{hollow} of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. -Isa 49:15-16

Those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. -Isa 40:31 AMP

2 Timothy 1:12For this reason I also suffer these things, but I
am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced
that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Refresh with Apples

February 17, 2012

Matthew 11:28 AMP … Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

Jeremiah 31:25I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.

O Lord I come to You
Word of God – Faithful and True
Refresh, refresh my soul
with apples
apples of gold.

Refresh my heart in Christ
Breathe on me the sweet fragrance of life
Revive, refresh, restore my soul
with apples
Your precious apples of gold.
-Prov 25:11;Song 7:8

Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love. -Song 2:5

Just Say the Word!

February 12, 2012

Psalm 107:20 … He sent forth His word and healed them …

Matthew 8:8,16-17
… The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. … … When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”

Isaiah 53:5He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

Just say the word, Lord, and I’ll be healed.

Jesus, Living Word of God
By Your stripes
Nothing too hard or
Impossible to fulfill
Faithful and True are You!

Just say the word, Lord, fill my soul
and make me whole.

Luke 1:37 AMP … For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

Say the Word
Just Say the Word!{Prayer}
A Healing Word

Sing A New Song

February 8, 2012

Sing, sing a new song
To Him who is worthy

Sing, sing a new song
To the Lamb

Living water
Midst the springs of living water
He stands

Sing, sing a new song
Sing, sing a new song
Worthy is the Lamb!

Sing, sing a new song
The song of the Lamb.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. -Ps 46:4

Here midst the streams of living water
Stands the Lamb
The Lamb leads to springs of living water
The Lambs stands enthroned
-Rev 5:6;Ps 22:3
Worthy is the Lamb!
-Rev 5:9-14

… the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. -Rev 7:17

The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and and I will prepare Him a habitation; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. -Ex 15:2

The Lord gave me this song and scripture. Ponder these and see where He leads!

He led me to look at Psalm 22:3 – the Lord is actually enthroned on the praise of His people. Rev 5:6 — the Lamb stands at the center of the throne. Exodus 15:2 – prepare Him a habitation actually means to celebrate Him in praise — the praises of His people actually adorn and beautify Him! Worthy is the Lamb! Jesus Christ our LORD!

Under His Wings

Beautiful One

February 1, 2012

Those who know Him, trust and love Him -Ps 9:10; Ps 91:14
Their heart’s desire
The “one thing” they seek is to
Come and behold Him
Bow down before Him
Come and adore Him
The “Beautiful One”
Jesus Christ is LORD! -Ps 27:4-6

Behold Him
Bow down before Him
Open your eyes to see
The beauty of the Lord in His sanctuary
Wonder anew, see the splendor and majesty of the King -1 Chr 16:27
Delight yourself in the Lord, the King of kings
Let your heart adore Him
Jesus Christ is LORD!

Psalm 28:7
AMP … The Lord is my Strength and my [impenetrable] Shield; my heart trusts in, relies on, and confidently leans on Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song will I praise Him.

1 Chronicles 16:27Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy in His dwelling-place.

Lord, give us hearts to know You, to trust and love You. Help us to make You our “one” desire. Help us to worship in Spirit and Truth. Thank You that as we do this, You, our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings, the Beautiful One will be seen and adored in wonder.

Word StudyFrom NetBible Psa 9:10

  • “To know” the Lord’s “name” means to be his follower, recognizing his authority and maintaining loyalty to him. See Ps 91:14, where “knowing” the Lord’s “name” is associated with loving him.
