Give Me the Eyes of Your Dove

October 27, 2012

Give me the eyes of Your dove Lord
Give me an undistracted devotion for only You.

Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth; give me an undivided heart to revere Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore. -Ps 86:11-12

The eyes of Your dove Lord I desire
To behold Your beauty
Oh to gaze upon Your splendor!
Better is one day in Your sanctuary
Than thousands elsewhere!
-Ps 27:4;84:10

Give Me the Eyes of Your Dove Lord
Eyes ‘married’ to I AM
To behold Your beauty
To sing right to You.

To You I lift up my eyes, O You[LORD] who are enthroned in the heavens! -Ps 123:1

From NetBible Ps 123:1

  • lift up[05375] = marry, desire, long for

From NetBible Ps 86:11
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.

  • undivided heart[03161] = heart joined, united, married
  • fear[03372] = to stand in awe of, reverence, honour, respect
The Lover to His Beloved:
How beautiful you are, my darling, How beautiful you are! Your eyes are like doves. -Song 1:15You have ravished my heart, My sister, My bride; You have ravished My heart, With one glance of your eyes -Song 4:9

***

His desire for His dove, just one glance …

Think of it – one quick glance would not ravish your lover’s heart, unless your lover had been intently staring at you, watching your every move. …

Imagine it when He also hears His doves voice sing!
My heart is melted ….
🙂
Song 2:10-14
My beloved responded and said to me,
‘Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come along. For behold, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing[voice] of doves is heard in our land. The fig-tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me. O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.’

Be Still!

October 17, 2012

Morning by morning the Lord brings His justice to light
Every new day He does not fail! -Zeph 3:5
Jesus Christ is with you
He is in the midst of you
He is a victorious warrior mighty to save
He will rejoice over you with great delight
With His love He will quiet you and calm all your fears
He will joy over you with singing!

From NetBible Zeph 3:17
joy[01523] = circle around like a dance of delight

You need only to come and
Be drawn beneath His wing
As He sings over you
BE STILL
Quieted in His love
Held in His perfect peace and
Glorious rest.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. -Mt 11:28

The LORD is Good

Psalm 100:5

Nahum 1:7
NLT … The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in Him.

I AM the LORD who Heals

October 10, 2012

James 5:15-16 AMP … And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

Psalm 46:1 … God is our refuge and strength, a very ever-present help in trouble!

This morning the Lord really encouraged me! I received a praise report from my Prayer Mail group. A testimony from someone who’s son was in the ER about a month ago with kidney failure – today his kidneys are functioning normal. Praise the LORD! It is a testimony not only that the Lord heals today but also that He is a VERY ever-present help! We need only to come to Him for ourselves or for the sick person who needs healing.

When we confess we are forgiven, we are purified from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) making our prayers for healing powerful and dynamic in working{present}.

I took an in depth look at the above verses. The Lord encouraged me even more. May you also be encouraged by this testimony and the word study included below.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is still the Lord who heals and IS a VERY ever-present help!
🙂

Word StudyFrom NetBible Ja 5:15

  • save[4982] = to keep safe or rescue
    * to save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health
  • restore[1453] = to arouse from the sleep of death to life
    *to cause to rise up as from a bed{a sick bed}

From NetBible Ja 5:16

  • healed[2390] = to cure, make whole

Exodus 15:26 … If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.

Isaiah 53:4-5 … Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

Jesus Christ our Lord, our healer, heals both physical and mental pain! By His stripes we are healed and made whole. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! -Heb 13:5

Without True Bread there is No Life!

October 5, 2012

John 6:26-27,32-35,39-40 Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”

Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, always give us this bread.”

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.
