Lasting Fruit

December 29, 2012

My yoke is easy, My burden is light

not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant- easy to be borne

Learn from Me for
I AM gentle and humble in heart
Let My gentle and humble Spirit in you be evident to all!
I AM near!

Matthew 11:28-30 AMP … Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.

Galatians 5:22-23 AMP … But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].

1 Peter 3:3-4 AMP … Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.rt

Philippians 4:5 … Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

Abide vitally united to the vine
Abide in joy

Let the eternal joy of My Spirit live in you
May it be evident and shine to all
You will lack no good thing …

John 15:4-5,11,16 AMP … Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. … You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you.

Psalm 34:8-10 NLT … Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him! Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

Psalm 23:1The Lord is my shepherd

NIV … I shall not be in want.
NLT … I have everything I need.
BBE … I will not be without any good thing.

Abide vitally united to the vine

Abide in Me
For in My presence is fullness of joy
And at My right hand are pleasures forevermore! -Ps 16:11

Fear Not! Jesus is King!

December 16, 2012

The Lord has been encouraging me recently to:

Fear Not!

for He Himself is your peace

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace … -Eph 2:13-14

He is with you always and will not fail or forsake you

Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. -Dt 31:6

John 14:27 AMP … Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

He is your strength and help, with you wherever you go

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. … For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you! -Is41:10,13 AMP

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. -Josh1:9

Son of Encouragement

December 14, 2012

Acts 4:36And Joses, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus,

Acts 11:23 AMP … When he[Barnabas] arrived and saw what grace (favor) God was bestowing upon them, he was full of joy; and he continuously exhorted (warned, urged, and encouraged) them all to cleave unto and remain faithful to and devoted to the Lord with [resolute and steady] purpose of heart.

Barnabas is translated son of encouragement

Encouragement is much more than comfort or consolation.
It also exhorts, admonishes, warns and urges
—>All to cleave/cling to and remain faithful to the Lord with fully devoted hearts.

We need to do the same, especially as we see the Day approaching!

Hebrews 10:25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage[admonish, warn and urge] one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Believe and Seek!

December 5, 2012

Take heed: you do not find what you do not seek!
… Quote from -Daily Guideposts Reflection

Matthew 7:7-8 AMP … Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.

Ask and keep on asking

You do not have because you do not ask. -Ja 4:2

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up{. -Lk 18:1

Seek and keep on seeking

… you will find Him[the Lord] if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. -Dt4:29

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. -Jere29:13

Knock reverently and keep on knocking

Jesus said “Truly, truly, I say to you, I AM the door of the sheep. … if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved … I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” -Jn10:7-10

… and the sheep follow Him because they know His voice. -Jn10:4

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. -Rev3:20

Hebrews 11:6 AMP But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

BELIEVE!
Jesus Christ is Lord
Earnestly seek Him with all your heart and soul.

Keep on Asking
Keep on Seeking
Keep on Knocking

PERSIST and don’t give up!

BELIEVE that Jesus is the door
BELIEVE that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.

The door wil be opened unto you if you don’t give up!

May You know Jesus Christ as Lord and be richly rewarded by the One under whose wings you have come to seek refuge. Rest secure in the shadow of the Almighty. REJOICE and sing for joy! -Ru2:12;Ps91:1,4;Ps61:4;Ps63:7

God Sees Every Sparrow

December 4, 2012

Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Luke 12:6-7Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

God sees EVERY sparrow
Two sparrows are sold for a penny
Five sparrows are sold for two pennies
The fifth sparrow is uncounted, thrown in for free.

Yet not one falls apart from our Father
Not one is forgotten.

Like the fifth sparrow
You are not forgotten
His eye is on the sparrow
If God so loves the sparrow
I know He loves you too!

Nothing can separate you from your Father’s love
or tender care! -Rom6:38-39

You are worth more than many sparrows!

Lord when I’m feeling alone and afraid help me to remember the sparrow. Thank You Lord that You are with and care for even the fifth sparrow and You care for me. Thank You that NOTHING can separate me from Your love!

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations [a]forever and ever. Amen. -Eph 3:20-21
