Jeremiah 17:14 AMP

  • praise[08416] = song or hymn, adoration, glory
*from [01984] = to shine, boast, glory, celebrate

From BlueLetterBible

  • praise[08416] = person or thing in which one glories -Jer 17:14 &
Due 10:21 … He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.

And I will be healed
Save me

Send forth
Your assuring word –Ps 107:20

For You alone are my praise
Jesus You are my praise

A healing balm poured forth –Jer 8:22
Jesus You alone are my praise.

Psalm 107:20 AMP
20 He sends forth His {assuring}word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.

From NetBible Ps 107:20

  • word[01697] = speech, saying, utterance

*Heb “he sent his word.” This probably refers to an oracle of assurance which announced his intention to intervene (see L. C. Allen, Psalms 101-150 [WBC], 59)

  • heals[07495] = to mend (by stitching), to cure, repair, make whole
  • rescues[04422] = delivered, saved, preserved

*Heb “he rescued from their traps.” The Hebrew wordשְׁחִית (shekhit, “trap”) occurs only here and in Lam 4:20, where it refers to a trap or pit in which one is captured. Because of the rarity of the term and the absence of an object with the verb “rescued,” some prefer to emend the text of Ps 107:20, reading מִשַׁחַת חַיָּתָם (mishakhat khayyatam, “[he rescued] their lives from the pit”). Note also NIV “from the grave,” which interprets the “pit” as Sheol or the grave.

Jeremiah 8:22 AMP
Is there no balm{medicinal ointment} in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people restored? [Because Zion no longer enjoyed the presence of the Great Physician!]

From NetBible Jer 8:22

  • *balm = medicinal ointment
  • *Jeremiah is lamenting that though there is a remedy available for the recovery of his people they have not availed themselves of it.
