Good Soil = Good Heart = Good Fruit

Luke 8:15 AMP
But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just (noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.

Good soil = A good heart

=>To bear good fruit
Plant God’s word in your heart
Persevere and
Keep it with steadfast patience.

Abide vitally united to the “Vine”.

John 15:4-5 AMP
4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

Word Study
From NetBible Lk 8:15

  • hold it fast[2722] = keep it, cling to it, retain it
    * There is a tenacity that is a part of spiritual fruitfulness.
    * Bearing fruit takes time (steadfast endurance), just as it does for the farmer. See Ja 5:7.
  • a just (noble, virtuous)[2570] and worthy[18] heart = a honest and good heart
  • patience[5281] = steadfastness, constancy, endurance, perseverance
    * from [5278]  = to preserve under misfortunes and trials to hold fast to one’s faith in Christ
=> to endure, bear bravely and calmly: ill treatments

But as for that seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and noble heart, and hold on to it tightly, and bear fruit with patience. -Lk 8:15

    Who has a noble heart?

Now these people were more noble and open-minded than those in Thessalonica, so they received the message [of salvation through faith in the Christ] with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. -Acts 17:11

Without abiding in His words can anyone really have true faith?

    Romans 10:17 AMP
17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

    John 6:63 AMP
63 It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.
