Wings Like a Dove

Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. -Ps 55:6

Who are these who fly like a cloud and like doves to their windows? -Is 60:8
Who shine with the Lord’s glory?Isa 60:1-3

Those who look to the Lord for help are radiant!
Their faces will never blush in shame or confusion.
–Ps 34:5 AMP

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. -Is 60:1

My beloved speaks and says to me, Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. …
… O my dove, [here] in the clefts in the rock,
In the sheltered and secret place of the steep pathway,
Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely. -Song 2:10,14

Arise, my dove, come away and be at rest!

    This speaks of those who know where the secret place is
    => beneath the wings of the Lord Almighty -Ps 91

    This secret place of rest, of shelter, of refuge
    This is where the Lord is calling “His dove”
    => His children

    🙂
    He longs to see the radiant faces of those who trust Him
    and know that He alone is their help
    He longs to hear their voices respond to His call.
    => His call provides “breath”, “wind” to allow open wings to “fly” to Him their home/ resting place…

    ***
    Psalm 68:13
    When you lie down among the sheepfolds,
    You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver,
    And its pinions with glistening gold.

    A song:

    Wings, wings, opening
    Wings, wings, pure white wings
    The wings of His dove
    Open, anticipating …

    O how they need His wind to fly!
