John 14:27 AMPC … Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

John 16:33 AMPC … I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Word Study
From NetBible Jn 14:27

  • *”Peace I leave with you”. =>  Jesus will use the phrase “Peace be with you” as a greeting to his disciples after his resurrection (Jn 20:19, 21, 26). It is here a reflection of the Hebrew shalom as a farewell. But Jesus says he leaves peace with his disciples. This should probably be understood ultimately in terms of the indwelling of the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, who has been the topic of the preceding verses. It is his presence, after Jesus has left the disciples and finally returned to the Father, which will remain with them and comfort them.

The God of Peace WITH You!

March 9, 2017

Philippians 4:4-9 …. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell(think on) on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Look how laying things at the feet of Jesus is related to the peace of God!
=> surrender and commit anything you need answered from the Lord in worship and prayer to Him AND the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Also dwell on and practice what is true(His written word-Jn 17:17)
=> this tunes your ear to better recognize the Shepherd’s voice AND
=> the God of peace Himself will be with you!

Romans 16:20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

When U feel most Weak-Helpless&Alone=>Dont let Ur ❤ be troubled-Cry out to Jesus&expect Him to answer with HisPeace!

Do not sleep-Be Alert&Sober-For Ur adversary-The devil prowls around like a lion-Seeking someone to devour! #Discern

1Thessalians 5:4-8, 21-23 … But you, beloved, are not in darkness, for that day{of the Lord} to surprise you like a thief; 5 for you are all children of light and children of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep[2518], but let us be alert and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. …
… 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22 abstain from every form{all appearance} of evil.

23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. 3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. 4 But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
