His word WILL NOT return void  –Isa 55:11

It may look dark–But, theLord & HisWord prevail–His promises NEVER fade
=>Don’t give up–Stand firm against all odds!

Word Study – God of Amen = Faithful and True!
The God of the Amen is an OT title:
Isaiah 65:16 AMPC … So [it shall be] that he who invokes a blessing on himself in the land shall do so by saying, May the God of truth and fidelity [the Amen] bless me; and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth and faithfulness to His promises [the Amen], because the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hidden from My eyes.

From NetBible Isa 65:16

  • Amen[0543] = So be it, truth – name of the faithful

In the NT Jesus often introduces statements with
“Verily, verily, I say unto you”[281] = Amen{Hebrew for [0543]}
In doing so, He identified Himself with the God of the Amen
And revealed Himself as the One through whom all of God’s promises are fulfilled.
Revelation 3:14 AMPC … And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning and Author of God’s creation:
2 Corinthians 1:20 AMPC … For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes (answer) in Him (Christ). For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God.

You are Beloved

You are beloved
My bride
My delight –Song 7:6

Just one glance of your eyes
The eyes of my dove
The eyes of my beloved
Beautiful –Song 6:1
Precious in my sight –Isa 43:4
I have called you by name
You are mine! –Isa 43:4

The Lover to His Beloved:
How beautiful you are, my darling, How beautiful you are! Your eyes are like doves.Song 1:15
You have ravished my heart, My sister, My bride; You have ravished My heart, With one glance of your eyes.Song 4:9

Song 7:10I am my beloved’s, and His desire is for me.

Song 6:3I am my beloved’s, And my beloved is mine.

From NetBible Song 6:3

  • * This is the second occurrence of the poetic refrain that occurs elsewhere in 2:16 and 7:11. The order of the first two cola are reversed from 2:16: “My beloved is mine and I am his” (2:16) but “I am my beloved’s and he is mine” (6:3). The significance of this shift depends on whether the parallelism is synonymous or climactic. This might merely be a literary variation with no rhetorical significance. On the other hand, it might signal a shift in her view of their relationship: Originally, she focused on her possession of him, now she focused on his possession of her.

Free to Choose

October 28, 2017

Galatians 5:13You, my brothers and sisters, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh and an opportunity or excuse [for selfishness], but through love you should humbly serve one another.

Joshua 24:14-15 “Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Without accomplishing what I desire,

And be led forth [by the Lord Himself] with peace;
The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

And instead of the nettle the myrtle tree will grow;
And it will be a memorial to the Lord,
For an everlasting sign [of His mercy] which will not be cut off.”

Isaiah 61:1-3 AMPC … The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Persist in Prayer!

October 16, 2017

Luke 11:8-11 AMPC … I tell you, although he will not get up and supply him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his shameless persistence and insistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
9 So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.
10 For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened.
11 What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent?
