Grace and Glory – Every Good Gift

Psalms 84:11-12For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord gives grace and glory;
No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
How blessed are those who trust in You!

Grace and Glory
Sun and Shield –Psalms 84:11
Every good gift from the Father above –James 1:17
No good thing does He withhold
From His children of light –Ephesians 5:8
From those whose walk is upright –Micah 2:7;Psalms 34:8-10,84:11
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord! –Psalms 84:12
.
Matthew 7:7-8,11Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. …
… If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

From NetBible Mt 7:7
seek[2212] = to seek [in order to find out] by thinking, meditating, reasoning, to enquire into, to crave
– to seek (literally or figuratively); specially,
(by Hebraism) to worship (God)
.
From NetBible Mt 7:11
* The provision of the good gifts is probably a reference to the wisdom and guidance supplied in response to repeated requests. The teaching as a whole stresses not that we get everything we want, but that God gives the good that we need.

    Jesus
    You’re the lifter
    The lifter of my head
    My glory, my glory
    My Sun and Shield

    You’re a Shield about me
    HalleluYah, HalleluYah, HalleluYah
    Jesus, You’re the lifter of my head!

    Psalms 3:3 … But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
    My glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head.

    John 16:24 … Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full!
