1 John 4:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)

1 Corinthians 13:8, 13 Amplified Bible (AMP)
8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away. …
… 13 And now there remain{abide}: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.

John 15:9-11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
9 I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain{abide} in My love [and do not doubt My love for you]. 10 If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain{abide} in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain{abide} in His love. 11 I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.
