Butterfly Hope and Wings

January 10, 2018

.
Lamentations 3:21-24 NIV … Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for Him.”

.
Remember it’s during the darkest part of the night
That the bright morning star appears
Rev 22:16
Transforming the night! –Jn 1:5
.
Hang on
Trust in the Lord
Your wings will bloom!

.
Isaiah 40:29-31 NIV … He[The Lord] gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; They will run and not grow weary,
They will walk and not be faint.

Winter and Summer Established

January 7, 2018

.
Psalm 74:17You[Sovereign Lord] have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made both summer and winter.
.
The Sovereign Lord has established
All boundaries of the earth
Both winter and summer …

.
He himself gives life and breath to everything
He satisfies every need there is.
Acts 17:25
.
It may be winter now
But rest assured summer is coming in due time!

.

The God of nature is the God of grace; and we may argue from the revolving seasons that sorrow is not meant to rule the year, the flowers of hope will blossom, and ruddy fruits of joy will ripen yet. –Treasury of David

.
Acts 17:26-28From one man[Adam] He made every nation of humankind to inhabit the entire earth, determining their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

Humbly Bow Before your King

December 31, 2017

Micah 6:8 AMP … He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you, except to be just,
and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion),
And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness]?

Before you Rise Up and Walk with your King

=> Humbly Bow Down before Him!

.

.
1Peter 5:5-7Likewise, you younger men [of lesser rank and experience], be subject to your elders [seek their counsel]; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another [tie on the servant’s apron], for God is opposed to the proud [the disdainful, the presumptuous, and He defeats them], but He gives grace to the humble.

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

Rise Up toward the Son!

December 31, 2017

From my previous post:
🙂

Rise up to walk with your King

=> place your feet in His footsteps!

.
Isaiah 40:31 AMP … But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power;
They will lift up their wings [and Rise Up close to God]

Like eagles [rising toward the sun];
They will Run and not become weary,
They will Walk and not grow tired.

.

.
To place your feet in His footsteps
=> Wait On and Trust in the Lord

.

Those who WAIT ON and TRUST in the Lord

=> Will RISE UP like eagles
Rising Up toward the SON!

.
They will be given strength not only to walk
But to Run and Soar!

Word Study
.
From Jn 5:8 Commentary:

.
Jesus actually gives three commands here: rise, take, and walk. He demands that people take action and responsibility—to take a stand with Him. The more we follow Christ, the more we rise in spiritual character. Sin, on the other hand, causes people to decline, degenerate, and descend to the depths of despair and spiritual weakness. … Jesus also requires that the man “walk,” a testimony of the fullness of His healing power. The man is able to rise up, providing the first visible testimony of his healing to those around the pool. However, he does not just hobble away—he has strength to carry his bed and walk. Being able to walk gives the man opportunity both to show and tell many others of Christ’s miracle.

The excellence of His work is seen in all these commands. If a person reacts positively to his contact with Christ, it will manifest itself in his conduct. The most effective witnesses are from those who walk as Christ commands!

The Jealous Eye

December 8, 2017

.

.
1 Samuel 18:8-9 NLT … This made Saul very angry. “What’s this?” he said. “They credit David with ten thousands and me with only thousands. Next they’ll be making him their king!” 9 So from that time on Saul kept a jealous eye on David.

The cure for the jealous eye is to be content and thankful in Christ Jesus => #BeThankful and FOCUS on Christ whatever your circumstance! –Phil 4:11-13
.

.

From ODB The Remedy for Jealousy

The comparison game is self-destructive. Someone will always have something we don’t or enjoy experiences different from ours. But God has already given us many blessings, including both life on this earth and the promise of eternal life to all who believe. Depending on His help and focusing on Him in thankfulness can help us to overcome jealousy. The remedy for jealousy is thankfulness to God.

INSIGHT
Why is it hard to see someone—even a friend—getting more attention than us? It happened to Saul. He loved David, but he became insanely jealous when he saw his faithful servant getting more honor than himself. Centuries earlier Cain enviously killed his younger brother Abel. And when Christ lived on earth the religious leaders of Israel became so jealous of Jesus that they demanded His death. But Jesus demonstrated a love that doesn’t envy. This love finds its source in God.
