Revived to Rejoice!

October 24, 2012

Psalm 85:6 Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?

From NetBible Ps 85:6

  • revive[02421] = to live, to bring/restore to life, to quicken
    * from sickness, discouragement, faintness, death
  • rejoice[08055] = be glad, make glad, to brighten up, make joyful

Psalm 13:3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; lighten the eyes [of my faith to behold Your face in the pitchlike darkness], lest I sleep the sleep of death …

From NetBible Ps 13:3

  • lighten the eyes = revive to see the face of the Lord shine

Did you see that?!!!!!

To be revived = to lighten the eyes to behold the face of the Lord Jesus Christ

—-> to bring/restore to life from sickness, discouragement, faintness or death!

—-> as His face shines on you He is revealed as Savior, Healer and Redeemer and you are made glad to rejoice in Him as Lord!

Psalm 30:2, 9-12 O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. … “What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness? Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be my helper.” You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, that my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

Behold His Face

January 21, 2010

Psalm 11:7   The LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold[02372] His face.

From NetBible Ps 11:7
*To “behold” God’s “face” means to have access to His presence and to experience His favor — to see, perceive, prophesy, provide

Seven-Fold Glory

Revelation 1:12-16
Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; 15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

  1. His head
    His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow
    {Wool is commonly supposed to be an emblem of eternity; white is the color of purity and of triumph}

    Daniel 7:9 I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure{lamb’s} wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, Its wheels were a burning fire.

  2. His eyes
    His eyes like a flame of fire
    {Bright, piercing, all seeing, flashing light, and also a consuming fire of the wicked}

    Revelation 19:12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.

  3. His feet
    His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace
    {Denoting his stability and strength; Shedding forth splendor like burnished brass heated in a furnace.}
  4. His voice
    His voice as the sound of many waters

    Revelation 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps.

  5. His right hand
    He had in his right hand seven stars

    Isaiah 62:3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

  6. His mouth
    Out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword

    Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

    Revelation 19:15,21 From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. … And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

  7. His countenance
    His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength

    Revelation 21:23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

    Matthew 17:2 And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.

    Malachi 4:2 But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.
