Walk in Christ

August 2, 2015

2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

Yesterday contemplating what it means to walk by faith led to a previous post. This added more thoughts to what it means to walk by faith.

From yesterday Walk by Faith:
Walk by faith with the Lord – not by sight and
=> You will be given eyes to see even in the dark.

From previous post Be Transformed below:
Walk by faith = Walk in Christ
= Walk in union, conformity and obedience to Him
(not the world)

Then
=> not only will you be given eyes to see in the dark
=> you will be transformed
=> growing in faith
=> strong and vigorous in His truth
=> overflowing(blooming) in thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus!

Walk by faith
=>Faith comes by hearing and obeying the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17 NASB
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ

From NetBible Ro 10:17

  • word[4487]rhema= uttered by the living voice

Proverbs 22:17-19 AMP
17 Listen (consent and submit) to the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge;
18 For it will be pleasant if you keep them in your mind [believing them]; your lips will be accustomed to [confessing] them.
19 So that your trust (belief, reliance, support, and confidence) may be in the Lord, I have made known these things to you today, even to you.

Colossians 2:6-7 AMP
6 As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him.
7 Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.

Living Faith

April 26, 2015

Hebrews 10:37-39 AMP
37 For still a little while (a very little while), and the Coming One will come and He will not delay.
38 But the just shall live by faith [My righteous servant shall live by his conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, and holy fervor born of faith and conjoined with it]; and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him.
39 But our way is not that of those who draw back to eternal misery (perdition) and are utterly destroyed, but we are of those who believe [who cleave to and trust in and rely on God through Jesus Christ, the Messiah] and by faith preserve the soul.

Romans 1:17 AMP
17 For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.

The just shall live by faith
Not shrinking back
But pressing in
Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This faith leads to more faith
Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ

Don’t give up
Keep pressing in!

Prayer:
Colossians 2:6-7 NLT
6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to Him. 7 Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all He has done.

faithful are preserved the proud are judged by God and paid back in full Ps31:23
blessed is the one who makes the LORD his trust the proud fall away to lies or turn to false gods Ps40:4
the humble are given grace by God the proud are opposed by God Pro3:34;1Pe5:5;Ja4:6
the humble will be honored by God the proud will be humiliated by God Pro29:23
The humble stand firm in faith and endure the proud rebel(do not stand firm) and are devoured by the sword Isa7:9,1:19-20
The Lord’s blessing is on the faithful who trust in Him The Lord’s curse is on the proud who trust in mere human beings and whose heart turns away from the Lord Jer17:5-8

Colossians 2:20 AMP
20 If then you have died with Christ to material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the world’s crude and elemental notions and teachings of externalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world? [Why do you submit to rules and regulations?—such as]

Romans 12:2 AMP
2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

Do not be conformed to this world
But be transformed
Renew your mind in Christ
Submit to His rule
CONTINUE to walk in union with and conformity to Him
=> that you may prove what is good, acceptable and
Pleasing in His sight for you!

A Flood of Praise!

January 6, 2009

By faith you received Jesus Christ as LORD
By faith continue to walk in Him
Walk in a manner worthy of  I AM. –Col 1:10

I AM calling you into My own kingdom and glory. –1 Thess 2:12

I AM calling you to walk,
… rooted, built up and established in your faith thru sound teaching
… thru truth, by My Spirit of truth.

I AM the way and the truth and the life. –Jn 14:6

ABIDE

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. –Jn 15:4

The fruit that is produced will cause a flood of praise.

Sing for joy! Shout aloud!
Explode in praise from deep within your soul
Overflow with thankfulness.

For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers,
and as a garden cascades with blossoms,
So the Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom
and puts praise on display before the nations
.

Fruit, righteousness in full bloom
Causing a flood of praise on display before the nations
As the waters cover the sea,
… the earth will be filled
… with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD –Hab 2:14
The earth will be filled with fruit that will last.

You did not choose me, but I chose you
… and appointed you to go and bear fruit—
… fruit that will last. –Jn 15:16

A flood of praise.

Arise, shine; For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. –Isa 60:1

Isaiah 61:10-11 MSG
I will sing for joy in God,
… explode in praise from deep in my soul!
He dressed me up in a suit of salvation,
… He outfitted me in a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom who puts on a tuxedo
… and a bride a jeweled tiara.
For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers,
… and as a garden cascades with blossoms,
So the Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom
… and puts praise on display before the nations.

Colossians 2:6-7 NLT
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will *overflow with thankfulness.
