Sing to YAH Who Rides upon the Clouds!

November 2, 2015

Psalm 68:1-4 AMP … Let God arise, and His enemies be scattered; Let those who hate Him flee before Him. 2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked and guilty perish before [the presence of] God. 3 But let the [uncompromisingly] righteous be glad; let them be in high spirits and glory before God, yes, let them [jubilantly] rejoice! 4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts{clouds/heavens}—His name is the Lord{YAH}—be in high spirits and glory before Him!

A Song:
HalleluYAH!  HalleluYAH!  HalleluYAH! –Ps 148:1
Sing to  YAH!  Sing to Yah who rides upon the clouds –Jdg 5:4
The Lord is His name – His glory proclaim –Ps 68:34-35, Jdg 5:12
HalleluYAH!  HalleluYAH!  HalleluYAH!
Sing to  YAH!  Sing to Yah who rides upon the clouds
He rains/reigns!  He rains/reigns!  He rains/reigns!
HalleluYAH!  HalleluYAH!  HalleluYAH! Ps 146:10
He rains/reigns! –Ps 68:8, Jdg 5:4

Singing praises, rejoicing and extolling the Lord – is like casting up a highway – inviting Him into the battle. He will ride upon the “clouds” and cause them to drip rain(prophesy). In His presence prophecy happens – how to achieve victory is prophesied and the battle is fought in heaven before it is fought on earth. His reign – victory is seen in heaven before it actually happens on earth. In Psalm 68 and Judges 5(Deborah) the rain brings instructions on how to fight and win the battle! Also note how the singing/extolling/acknowledgement of the Lord as King(submitting to His rule) brings the rain/reign of victory to earth! –Jdg 5:20-21

=>Singing Hallelu YAH is a call for the Lord to shine forth(rise like the dawn) in power and victory on behalf of His people!

Psalm 148:1 KJV … Praise ye the LORD! Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!
.
Psalm 146:10 KJV … The LORD shall reign forever––Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise ye the LORD!

From NetBible Ps 148:1Ps 146:10

  • Hallelu[01984] = shine forth
  • YAH[03050] = proper name of the Lord
  • * Praise ye the Lord = Hallelu YAH
=> Hallelu YAH = a call for the Lord to “shine forth”

Psalm 68:3-4, 7-10 NKJV … But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. 4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him.

From NetBible Ps 68:4

  • extol[05549] = lift up a song, cast up a highway/way

7 O God, when You went out before Your people{in battle}, when You marched through the wilderness, 8 The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. 9 You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, when it was weary. 10 Your congregation dwelt in it …

From NetBible Ps 68:7

  • went forth before Your people = lead your people into battle –Jdg 4:14
  • * marched through the wilderness{desert} = describes how the God of Sinai marched across the desert regions to do battle with Sisera and his Canaanite army –Jdg 5:4

  • heavens/clouds dropped/dripped[05197] = prophesy, preach, discourse by inspiration
  • * tells how the God of Sinai came in the storm and annihilated the Canaanite forces led by Sisera. The presence of allusion does not mean, however, that this is a purely historical reference. The psalmist is describing God’s typical appearance as a warrior in terms of his prior self-revelation as ancient events are reactualized in the psalmist’s experience.

Psalm 68:32-35 AMPC … Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praises to the Lord! Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!
33 [Sing praises] to Him Who rides upon the heavens{clouds}, the ancient heavens; behold, He sends forth His voice, His mighty voice. 34 Ascribe power and strength to God; His majesty is over Israel, and His strength and might are in the skies{clouds}. 35 O God, awe-inspiring, profoundly impressive, and terrible are You out of Your holy places; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and fullness of might to His people. Blessed be God!

  • 1 Chronicles 16:29 AMP … Ascribe to the Lord the glory and honor due His name; Bring an offering [of thanksgiving], and come before Him; Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness{holy attire}. 30 Tremble [reverently] before Him, all the earth; The world is firmly established, it will not be moved. 31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; and let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”

    From NetBible 1Chr 16:29

  • Deuteronomy 32:2-3 AMPC … My message shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the light rain upon the tender grass, and as the showers upon the herb. 3 For I will proclaim the name [and presence] of the Lord. Concede and ascribe greatness to our God.
  • Hosea 6:3 NASB … So let us know{acknowledge}, let us press on to know{acknowledge} the LORD. His going forth{coming to rescue} is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering[03384] the earth.

    From NetBible  Hos 6:3Ps 32:8 & Ps 86:11

    • rain watering/teach[03384] = to shoot arrows, to throw water, rain, to flow as water, to instruct, to point out (as if by aiming the finger)
=> To those who press on to know and acknowledge the Lord with an undivided{pure} heart, He will come like rain to water/teach personally. They will see “eye to eye”, with “the eyes of His dove”(Song 4:1, 1:15,5:12;Ps 32:8;Ps 86:11)

Wings, Wings Opening

September 12, 2015

Psalm 68:13 AMP
When you lie down [to rest] among the sheepfolds, You [Israel] are like the wings of a dove [of victory] overlaid with silver, Its feathers glistening with gold [trophies taken from the enemy].

Wings, wings opening
Wings, wings pure white wings
The wings of His dove
Opening, anticipating
His wind, His breath
The sweet fragrance of life.

Wings, wings opening
Pure white wings shine bright
Covered with silver
Glistening with gold
The light of the Son{in all it’s might} –Jdg 5:31

4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts—His name is the Lord—be in high spirits and glory before Him!

NKJV … 3 But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly. 4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him.

From NetBible Ps 68:4

  • extol[05549] = lift up a song, cast up a highway/way

Singing praises, rejoicing and extolling the Lord – is like casting up a highway – inviting Him in – bringing the reign/rain of His presence.

This is a good thing to do especially in the desert — for it’s only the Lord’s presence that brings rain into your desert.

Psalm 68:8-9 AMP
8The earth trembled, the heavens also poured down [rain] at the presence of God; yonder Sinai quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 You, O God, did send a plentiful rain; You did restore and confirm Your heritage when it languished and was weary.

Proverbs 16:15 AMP
15 In the light of the king’s countenance is life, and his favor is as a cloud bringing the spring rain.

Psalm 84:5 NASB
5 How blessed is the man whose strength is in You, In whose heart are the highways to Zion!

Awake and Arise!

August 25, 2009

Awake, awake, Deborah! Awake, awake, utter a song!  -Jdg 5:12

Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. -Ps 20:7

Don’t be afraid of the numerous chariots or boasting of the enemy.

Awake, My Dove and utter a song
Sing with a steadfast immovable heart fixed on Me
Bubble up, overflow like an inexhaustible spring -Ps 45:1
With joy unspeakable and full of glory -1 Pe 1:8
Praise Me, your One and Only
Awaken the dawn.

Arise My Dove and fervently sing
I AM
I long to see you face to face
Eye to eye.

Sing, My Dove, stir your heart, I will open your eyes
Awake and see
See the beauty of the King. -Isa 33:17
See the chariots overwhelmed as the river overflows. -Jdg 5:21

Arise Deborah arise like the sun in all its might -Jdg 5:31
In the beauty of holiness from the womb of dawn. -Ps 110:3
Arise and shine for your light has come! -Isa 60:1

Awake and Arise My Dove.

Isaiah 52:7-9    How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “ Your God reigns!” Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, with their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye when the LORD brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

 Psalm 57:7-9   My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise.
Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing to You among the nations.

🙂

It doesn’t matter how many chariots there are lined up against you or how
much the enemy boasts about their strength. Yes they are powerful in
battle on a dry plain — BUT when that plain is overflowed with water they
get stuck in the mud!!!!!!

Praise the LORD!!!!

🙂

Psalm 45:1 KAREN’S version 🙂
My heart is stirred by a beautiful song, it overflows its banks, beauty bubbles up and bursts forth. I sing of the things which I have made touching (kissing?) the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer, shaping the river into words!

Psalm 149:6-9   May the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two–edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, to execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the LORD!

Deborah the bee
Knew how to draw and taste honey from the Rock
The word of the Lord was such a part of Deborah
Her heart overflowed,
Bubbled up with the joy of the Lord
She sang of the things she made touching the King
With high praises in her mouth
A double edged sword in her hand
The Lord’s judgement was executed!

The river overflowed its banks!
The Lord’s people saw the King’s beauty and victory!
