Faith and Strength

Isaiah 40:31 AMP … But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Isaiah 64:4 AMP … For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him.

Trust in the Lord to equip you and strengthen you to do what He has called you to do
AND wait upon Him to do the rest
Wait for Him to do what only He can do!

Jeremiah 32:17 AMP … Alas, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You—

Isaiah 30:18 AMP … And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up{rises up}, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!

Held in the Hollow

February 18, 2012

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand or with the breadth of His hand marked off the heavens? -Isa 40:12

A cupped hand
The hollow of His hand
Protected on all sides
Safe.

My dove
You are held safe in the hollow of My hand
Trust me to revive, refresh and restore you
My living waters flow
From that place where you are kept safe
Held in the hollow of My hand.

Rest here
Surrender all
I know you have no strength of your own.

Wait here, held in the palm of My hand
Held in My gaze
The apple of My eye
Until I give you wings{strength} to fly. -Isa 60:8;Ps 55:6

Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you{your name} on the palms{hollow} of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. -Isa 49:15-16

Those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. -Isa 40:31 AMP

2 Timothy 1:12For this reason I also suffer these things, but I
am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced
that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

Be Strong, Take Heart

February 9, 2009

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. –Mt 11:28

Set the LORD continually before
Enter His presence with joyful singing     –Ps 100:2
Linger at the feet of Jesus
See His great mercy and love
Taste His goodness, His fullness of joy.
   –Ps 16:8, 11
Then your strength will be renewed
With His mercy and love in view you will persevere and not faint
Only at the feet of Jesus, in His presence can you
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.

This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘ Therefore I hope in Him!‘ The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.”  –Lam 3:21-25

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” –Isa 40:31

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful{persistant} in prayer.

Psalm 31:24
Be strong and take heart,
{He will strengthen your heart} all you who hope in the LORD.

Joyful in Hope

February 9, 2009

Job 6:11   What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient?

Romans 12:1   Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship.

It’s only as we enter the Lord’s presence and linger at the feet of Jesus, that we can keep His great mercy and love in view. In the Lord’s presence there are new mercies each morning; there is fullness of joy and hope. Great is His faithfulness!

Lingering at the feet of Jesus, waiting on Him, it’s here that our hope and strength are renewed. It’s only by keeping His mercy and love in view that we can persevere and not faint. Only at the feet of Jesus can we be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.

I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. … You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. –Ps 16:8, 11

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” –Isa 40:31
