Grieving – Feeling Alone and Rejected?

October 24, 2018

.
I was grieved, feeling alone and rejected(because of the Word), when I came upon the above cartoon. It made me smile and really encouraged me!
.
What do you do when you feel this way? These passages give some interesting insight!
.
Jesus is rejected in His home town –Mt 13:53-58
After this He hears about John’s beheading – what does He do?
=> He withdraws to a private, solitary place –Mt 14:13
This was a deserted, desolate place –Mt 14:15
.
It’s very interesting that the crowds followed Him
… to this desolate place and it’s here
… the crowd is shown compassion and sick are healed! –Mt 14:14
.
It’s here in this desolate place that the 5000 are fed! –Mt 14:13-21
.
Grieved, feeling alone and rejected because of the Word? Mt 13:21
=> Get alone with Christ
=> Let Him encourage you with the Word
=> You will be fed and have more than enough to share!
Mt 14:20
.
Isaiah 55:10-11 NASB … For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

His Word Runs Swiftly

March 6, 2018

Matthew 10:26-28Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. 27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. 28 Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Do not be afraid
Boldly proclaim the truth
Truth revealed by the Spirit of Truth –
Jn 16:13
In the secret place of the Most HighPs 91:4
Proclaim it from the rooftops!
.
Revelation 19:11-13And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. 13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

He breathes on it and living waters flow –Ps 147:18
Not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit –
Zech 4:6
He watches over His word to perform itJer 1:12
The Word of God – Faithful and true
=> will not return void!

Holy Spirit Rain

November 5, 2014

Hosea 6:3 … So let us know{acknowledge}, let us press on to know{acknowledge} the LORD. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering[03384] the earth.

Psalm 32:8 … I will instruct you and teach[03384] you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

From NetBible  Hos 6:3 and Ps 32:8

  • rain watering/teach[03384] = to shoot arrows, to throw water, rain, to flow as water, to instruct, to point out (as if by aiming the finger)

Notice how the word for rain watering is the same as teach. This is very comforting in the above verses. To those who press on to know and acknowledge the Lord, He will come like rain to water/teach personally. They will be held in His gaze, close enough to be guided by His eye .

Holy Spirit rain down
Let Your voice be heard.

Help us to press on and seek Your face
To know and acknowledge You
Let Your voice flow as rain
How we need to hear Your word
Teaching and guiding us with Your eye upon us.

Holy Spirit rain down
How we need Your touch again!

Isaiah 55:10-11 AMP
10 For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

As the Rain and Snow{Snowdrop}

God’s Snowdrop
Dave Hood

Beneath the sky, beneath My Tree
I look and see and I find thee
For there ‘neath shade and under My bough
I looking down I find head bowed
A single stalk, a single stem,
No ruby head, nor diadem
But cast as pearl a wonder am
Bestowed My eye a vision span
A forlorn head, a drop that cries,
That gathers there, in shade abide
In single, silent, not rank nor stair
I see thy bulb, it settles there
No glare, no magic, no trumpet crowd
No waving, weaving, chaotic grow
But you, your love, simply draped right there
Your single light, my heart clamours hear
And beats, and bursts, abounds with dare
I cast My shade, this drop that’s there
And pride and priceless pain is found
My God, My God I Am allowed
Embrace with wind and caress with rain
And wonder words my breath I train
To send the hues of forest there
With towers of pollen I pepper with care
This tender, tiny, yet tremulous can
Contain, by cover, My curtain I plan
To shelter, shower and season with air
So brittle, so little, so needy of care
I dare not look, with menace or glare
So pretty, so witty…my breath stops there
And kisses Me life, with your faintest nod
Your beauty, My duty, blessed flower of God
***
You may feel like a ‘bulb’ buried deep within the cold dark ground
Beloved do not lose heart! Believe!

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
… That I would see the goodness of the LORD
… In the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD;
… Be of good courage,
… And He shall strengthen your heart;
… Wait, I say, on the LORD! -Ps 27:13-14 NLT

Beloved within each bulb there is a flower
A hidden promise
A beautiful treasure
Seen by My eye alone until its season.
Beloved believe! You are in My care.
My word will not return void!
In due time My beauty is unveiled
My word, a kiss of life
My flower revealed.

In the cold and snow of winter
In the bulb buried deep within the ground
There’s a spring that waits to be
A tiny snowdrop
A beautiful flower.

Courage is not the towering oak that sees storms come and go, it is the fragile blossom that opens in the snow.” ~Alice Mackenzie Swaim

🙂
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. -Jn 16:33

If peace be in the heart,
The wildest winter storm is full of solemn beauty,
The midnight flash but shows the path of duty,
Each living creature tells some new and joyous story,
The very trees and stones all catch a ray of glory,
If peace be in the heart.

–Charles Francis Richardson

Let the beauty and delightfulness and favor of the Lord our God be upon us; confirm and establish the work of our hands–yes, the work of our hands, confirm and establish it. -Ps 90:17

Song 4:9 AMP … You have ravished my heart and given me courage, my sister, my [promised] bride; you have ravished my heart and given me courage with one look from your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.

Psalm 45:11So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.

From NetBible Ps 45:11

  • worship[07812] = bow down in reverence, honor, adoration
