Jesus is our Dayspring from on High!

June 2, 2016

Psalm 112:4 AMPC … Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate, and just [who are in right standing with God].

From NetBible Ps 112:4

  • NIV … Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous.
  • NLT … When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.

Even in the darkness
When storm clouds seem to overtake –Job 37:21
Son light arises, bursts in
Dawns for the upright –
Ps 112:4
For those who are gracious, compassionate and just
Who are in right standing with the Lord Jesus.

Jesus is our Dayspring from on High – our Sonrise after the dark!

Luke 1:78-79 NET … Because of our God’s tender mercy the dawn will break upon us from on High, 79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

From NetBible Lk 1:78

  • God’s tender mercy is seen in the deliverance of those in darkness by Jesus who is the light of dawning day.
=>2Cor 4:6 NET … For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,”  is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.
  • Dayspring: The Messiah is pictured as a saving light that shows the way. The Greek term was also used to translate the Hebrew word for “branch” or “sprout”
  • Zec 6:12 NET … Then say to him, ‘The Lord who rules over all says, “Look – here is the man whose name is Branch,  who will sprout up from his place and build the temple of the Lord. =>describes the rise of the Messiah, already referred to in this manner in Zec 3:8 (Is 11:1; 53:2; Jer 33:15). In the immediate context this refers to Zerubbabel, but the ultimate referent is Jesus (Jn 19:5).
  • Jn 19:5 NET … So Jesus came outside, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe.  Pilate  said to them, “Look, here is the man!” =>Pilate’s words constituted an unconscious allusion to Zec 6:12. Pilate (unknowingly and ironically) presented Jesus to the nation under a messianic title.

Job 37:21 BBE … And now the light is not seen, for it is dark because of the clouds; but a wind comes, clearing{cleansing} them away.

From NetBible Job 37:21

  • clearing{cleansing}[02891] = purify, heal

Streams of Precious Tears

February 16, 2016

Psalm 119:147-152 AMPC … I anticipated the dawning of the morning and cried [in childlike prayer]; I hoped in Your word.
148 My eyes anticipate the night watches and I am awake before the cry of the watchman, that I may meditate on Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your steadfast love; O Lord, quicken me and give me life according to Your [righteous] decrees.
150 They draw near who follow after wrong thinking and persecute me with wickedness; they are far from Your law.
151 You are near, O Lord [nearer to me than my foes], and all Your commandments are truth.
152 Of old have I known Your testimonies, and for a long time, [therefore it is a thoroughly established conviction] that You have founded them forever.

Psalm 119:136 AMPC … Streams of water run down my eyes, because men do not keep Your law [they hear it not, nor receive it, love it, or obey it].

Beloved I have heard your prayer
I see your tears
2Ki 20:5
Each of your tears is a precious gem.
 -Ps 56:8

Joy comes in the morning  -Ps 30:5

Trust in Me, the Lord Jesus Christ
To wipe away your tears and make it thru the night!

Revelation 7:16-17 AMPC … They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun smite them, nor any scorching heat. 17 For the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will be their Shepherd, and He will guide them to the springs of the waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

Joy in Sorrow

July 14, 2015

2 Corinthians 6:10 NKJV
… as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

From NetBible 2 Co 6:10

  • sorrowful[3076] = affect with sadness, grief
  • always rejoicing[5463] = rejoice exceedingly, be glad, “cheer”ful==>always have joy, always filled with deep joy, ever glad

One day we won’t be “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing” – the sorrow will be wiped away. The Lord will wipe away every tear!

Be joyful, rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Moreover, let us also be full of joy now – even in sorrow!

Remember – the Lord Jesus Christ is the only One who can turn your sorrow into joyful dancing, let Him remove your sackcloth and cloth you with joy!

One day we wont be sorrowful-Yet always rejoicing-Sorrow will be wiped away-Rejoice #TrustGOD make it thru the night!

Revelation 21:4-5 AMP
4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.
5 And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine).

Romans 5:1-5 AMP
1 Therefore, since we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God.
3 Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.
4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.
5 Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

Psalm 30:4-5,11-12 NLT
4 Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise His holy name.5 For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night,  but joy comes with the morning. …
… 11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy 12 that I might sing praises to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give You thanks forever!

Weeping may last a night-But joy comes in the morning #TrustGOD=>He is close to the brokenhearted. -Ps 30:5; Ps 34:18

Wings of Dawn

May 28, 2010

Song 6:10 Who is this that grows{rises} like the dawn,

Who are these who fly like a cloud and like the doves to their lattices{roosts}? -Isa 60:8

But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise{dawn} with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. -Mal 4:2

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day{perfect day}. -Prov 4:18

If I take the wings of the dawn, [and] if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. -Ps 139:9-10

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning{break of day}. -Ps 30:5

As beautiful as the full moon{white one},

Moreover the light of the {full}moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound. -Isa 30:26

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, that He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless]. -Eph 5:25-27

As pure as the sun,

And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. -Mt 17:2

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. -2 Cor 3:18

The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good{single, clear, pure}, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! -Mt 6:22-23

The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. -Isa 60:19-20

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. -Rev 21:23

As awesome as an army with banners{stars in procession}?

Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. -Dan 12:3

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labour for nothing.-Phil 2:14-16

Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you shining stars. -Ps 148:3

The Sun of Vindication

An Everlasting Song

April 24, 2010

Quote from Spurgeon’s Evening Devotional for August 28

“Sing, O barren.” -Isaiah 54:1

But what can I sing about? I cannot talk about the present, and even the past looks full of barrenness. Ah! I can sing of Jesus Christ. … Come, my soul, heavy laden thou wast once, and thou didst lose thy burden there. Go to Calvary again. Perhaps that very cross which gave thee life may give thee fruitfulness. What is my barrenness? It is the platform for his fruit-creating power. What is my desolation? It is the black setting for the sapphire of his everlasting love. I will go in poverty, I will go in helplessness, I will go in all my shame and backsliding, I will tell him that I am still his child, and in confidence in his faithful heart, even I, the barren one, will sing and cry aloud.

Psalm 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

Joy after weeping in tears
Morning light breaking thru the darkest night.

Sing, O, barren, sing
There is a song that never dies
A crown of everlasting joy and delight.

The desert will rejoice and blossom, as the rose
Barrenness a platform for His fruit creating power
Desolation the black-setting for the sapphire of His everlasting love.

Sing, O, barren sing
The song that never dies.

Jesus your strength
Your song
Your everlasting delight.

His praise endures forever –Ps 111:10
His word forever settled in heaven –Ps 119:89

An everlasting song of praise to awake the dawn
… and vanquish the night.

Isaiah 35:1,8,10 The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose … And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it. … and the ransomed of the LORD will return{in this Way}. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isaiah 54:1,11 Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labour; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the LORD. … O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires.

Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise{beautify, adorn with praise} Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Psalm 57:7-9 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and give praise.
Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing to You among the nations.
