Remember, at ALL times, the peace of the Lord is only a prayer away!

Philippians 4:4-7 AMP
4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
5 Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].
6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:
2 Thessalonians 3:16
AMP
16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all.

Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

July 4, 2014

Matthew 6:33-34 AMP
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.

The cure for worry about tomorrow
=> Seek first His kingdom and righteousness.

Philippians 4:4-7 NKJV
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Let Your mercies fall from heaven
Sweet mercies flow from heaven
New mercies for today
Shower them down Lord as we pray …

Set Your Mind On Things Above

March 12, 2014

Romans 8:6-7 NASB … For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so.

Philippians 4:8-9 NASB … Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Colossians 3:1-3 AMP … If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

Matthew 16:23 NASB … But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.

Set your mind on the Holy Spirit and things above, then you will have life and peace in the Lord.

Ask the Lord to replace any negative thought or lie with His truth in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

.
Psalm 34:14 AMP … Depart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!

From NetBible Ps 34:14

  • seek[01245] = search out, require, desire, request
  • pursue[07291] = run after, chase, attend closely

Philippians 4:1-9 NASB … Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord. 3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

There seems to be 5 things we can do to have ‘The Peace of God’ guard our hearts

  1. Live in harmony
    From NetBible Phil 4:2
    >>harmony[5426] = agree, be of the same mind in the Lord
  2. Help fellow workers
    From NetBible Phil 4:3
    >>help[4815] = assist, succor
  3. Rejoice in the Lord always!
    From NetBible Phil 4:4
    >>rejoice[5463] = be glad, joyful
  4. Let your gentleness be evident
    From NetBible Phil 4:5
    >>gentleness[1933] = mildness, patience
  5. Pray away anxiety
    From NetBible Phil 4:6
    >>anxious for nothing[3309] = troubled for nothing, don’t worry or fret
    .
MSG … Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.

And 2 more to dwell/abide with ‘The God of Peace’!

  1. Dwell on the truth
    From NetBible Phil 4:8
    >>dwell[3049] = think on, consider, reckon
  2. Practice the truth
    From NetBible Phil 4:9
    >>practice[4238] = do, exercise, perform

Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all. -2Thess 3:16 AMP

Fret Not!

September 22, 2011

Psalm 37:8 … Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret–– it only causes harm.

Fret Not!

Feed on His faithfulness

He orders the steps of the righteous
He upholds them with His hand
His saints are preserved forever
He is their strength in times of trouble
Because they trust in Him.

Commit your way to the LORD
Rest{Be still} in the LORD and wait patiently for Him
Trust in the LORD, and do good!

Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV … Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Father, when I start to ‘fret’ or become anxious help me to remember to feed on Your faithfulness. Thank You that as I come to You in prayer with thanksgiving, Your peace will guard my heart and mind thru Christ Jesus, Your son. Thanks be to God that this peace beyond understanding helps me to rest in Christ Jesus and wait patiently for Him!

Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. -Ps 37:3

Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it{act on your behalf}. -Ps37:5

Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. -Ps 37:7

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand. -Ps 37:23-24

The LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. -Ps 37:28

The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.-Ps 37:39-40
