Trust His Timing!

February 21, 2019

The following encouraged me today.
ūüôā

From ODB.org:

Habakkuk lived in Judah in the late seventh century bc before the Israelites were taken into exile. The prophet found himself in a society that overlooked social injustice and was immobilized by the fear of imminent invasion by the Babylonians (Habakkuk 1:2‚Äď11). He asked the Lord to intervene and remove suffering (1:13). God replied that He would act justly but in His timing (2:3).

In faith, Habakkuk chose to trust the Lord. Even if the suffering did not end, the prophet believed that God would continue to be his strength.

Habakkuk 3:17-19¬†AMPC …¬†Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls,¬†18¬†Yet I will rejoice¬† in the Lord; I will exult¬†in the [victorious] God of my salvation!¬†19¬†The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery,¬†and¬†my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds‚Äô feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk]¬†and¬†make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!

Are you disappointed in the pace of God’s plans?

Choose to trust the Lord and His timing no matter the circumstances you find yourself in today!

Isaiah 64:4¬†AMPC …¬†For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him.

Psalm 11:4-7 AMPC … The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes behold; His eyelids test and prove the children of men. 5 The Lord tests and proves the [unyieldingly] righteous, but His soul abhors the wicked and him who loves violence. 6 Upon the wicked He will rain quick burning coals or snares; fire, brimstone, and a [dreadful] scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the Lord is [rigidly] righteous, He loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold His face, or He beholds the upright.

The Lord is Sovereign and very aware. He is patiently timing His interventions. His timing is perfect!

God’s Perfect Timing

Psalm 31:14-16 NIV
14 But I trust in you, Lord;
I say, ‚ÄúYou are my God.‚ÄĚ
15 My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.
16 Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.

Remember God’s timing is perfect! Continue to hope and trust in the Lord and His timing – He will open the right doors in due time{if you don’t give up}.

Psalm 31:23-24 NIV
23 Love the Lord, all his faithful people!
The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full.
24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Lord my times are in Your hands
So I’ll trust and I’ll wait

For Your love, it never fails.

So I’ll trust and I’ll wait
For Your timing, Your perfect timing
For I know You Lord, You are never late!

Thank You Lord Jesus for Your unfailing love and Your perfect timing. Help me to surrender all to You. Thank You that as I trust and wait, You will preserve and strengthen my heart. Thank You that these waiting times are by Your design.

Be Strong

July 7, 2009

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord! -Ps 31:24

AND remember timing is everything ūüôā

But I trusted in, relied on, and was confident in You, O Lord; I said, You are my God. My times are in Your hands -Ps 31:14-15

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. -Isa 40:28-31 AMP

The Lord is Never Late

March 18, 2009

Psalm 31:9   Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief.

Waiting is one of the hardest things for me to do. Especially if like David I am in distress crying out to God for mercy and deliverance. Why does it seem as if God delays in answering our cries at times? Why would the Lord make us wait?

I was in this place of distress recently, trying to remind myself that the Lord’s timing is perfect, He’s never late and never seems to be early, always right on time. That’s when the Lord used the following to encourage me.

Psalm 31:14-16¬†¬† ¬†But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD, I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand;¬†deliver me from my enemies¬†and from those who pursue me.¬†Let Your face shine on Your servant;¬†save me in Your unfailing love.

It was as if the Lord told me that my times were in His hands, my ups and downs, my whole life. He was asking me to surrender ALL of my times into His mighty hands. He was asking me to trust and acknowledge Him in ALL my ways and believe that He was working out ALL things for good.

Proverbs 3:5-6   Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Romans 8:28   And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Psalm 31:23-24   Love the LORD, all His saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full. Be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

***

May the Lord’s face shine on you today
For our times are in His hand.

May He save and preserve you in His unfailing love.

Be of good courage and trust in the Lord
He will strengthen your heart!

AS I PRAYED …¬†By D. McFalls

God looked down on me as I prayed
My heart broken
My eyes filled with tears
God looked down on me as I prayed
He saw my hopes
He saw my dreams
God listened as I prayed
On my knees
Hands lifted up, all my hopes cast upon him
God said, it is enough
You have prayed long and I have heard you,
You have held fast and I will answer you.
But the answers will come in my time
I know you want it now
But
Just as unripe fruit makes you ill
Some things must mature before they are ready
If you have it before it’s time¬†
It will only cause you grief
Trust me to know when the time is right
Hold fast, have faith and wait
For one by one your requests will be granted
Yes I could send them all at once,
But they would be more than you could handle
You would be overwhelmed
Sit still and wait for I have heard you
Make yourself ready to receive my blessings
Rest in my promise for you have not been forgotten
Be at peace daughter, dry your tears
You are bowed down under your burdens
But I will lighten your load
You are wandering though the desert
I will reach down with my right hand and lead you out
I know the storm is raging all around you
Look away from it… Keep your eyes on me¬†
Trust me
Rejoice
Be not afraid, only believe.
