Freedom in the Truth

April 19, 2015

John 8:31-32,36 AMPC
31 So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples.
32 And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. …

36 So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

Keep focused on the Truth
Choose it
Walk in it Gal 5:22-25
That is where your freedom is found.

It’s also where the peace of the Lord is found!

Philippians 4:8-9 AMPC
8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].
9 Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.

Set Your Mind On Things Above

March 12, 2014

Romans 8:6-7 NASB … For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so.

Philippians 4:8-9 NASB … Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Colossians 3:1-3 AMP … If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.

Matthew 16:23 NASB … But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.

Set your mind on the Holy Spirit and things above, then you will have life and peace in the Lord.

Ask the Lord to replace any negative thought or lie with His truth in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thoughts Prayers and Breath

August 3, 2012

I love this quote by Charles H. Spurgeon

Let your thoughts be psalms

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy––meditate on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. -Phil 4:8-9

You will keep him in perfect peace; whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. -Isa 26:3

May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the LORD. {May my thoughts be sweet to Him as expressed in His songs of praise.} -Ps 104:34

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. {May my thoughts be pleasing to Him making music in my heart like the strumming of a harp.} -Ps 19:14

your prayers incense

May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. -Ps 141:2

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. -Ps 134:2

and your breath praise.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! -Ps 150:6

All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your loving ones shall bless You [affectionately and gratefully shall Your saints confess and praise You]! -Ps 145:10
