Run to Him

August 7, 2009

Psalm 59:16-17
I shall sing of Your strength;
… Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness{mercy} in the morning,
… For You have been my stronghold
… And a refuge{fortress} in the day of my distress.
O my strength, I will sing praises to You;
… For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me
lovingkindness{mercy}.

When the enemy comes in like a flood -Isa 59:19
Know where your help comes from
Know where your refuge is …

Run to Him
Be hidden, covered by His feathers beneath His mighty wings,
Kept as the apple of His eye -Ps 17:8, 91:4
Upheld by His everlasting arms.

Trust not in your own strength or faith
Trust in His faithfulness and His strength alone.

The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it. -1 Thess 5:24

Cling to Him
Covered by His priceless love
His unchanging, unfailing, enduring love
Sing beneath His mighty wings
Upheld. -Ps 63:7-8

For He is able more than able to do all He has promised and more. -Eph 3:14-21

Secrets

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ‘Destroy him!’ -Duet 33:27

Let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy.
Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. For surely, O LORD, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield. -Ps 5:11-12

Psalm 27:4-6
One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

You, O LORD, are a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head.
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
who have set themselves against me round about.
Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God! -Ps 3:3,6-7
Deliver my life from the wicked with Your sword. -Ps 17:13

Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand,
O You who save those who trust in You
From those who rise up against them. -Ps 17:7

Rise up, O LORD!
Let Your enemies be scattered,
and let those who hate You flee before You. –Num 10:35

As smoke is blown away by the wind, may You blow them away;
As wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God.
But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God;
May they be happy and joyful. –Ps 68:1-3

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The LORD will fulfil His purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures for ever
— do not abandon the works of your hands! –Ps 138:7-8

Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place,
You and the ark of Your strength.
Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness,
And let Your saints shout for joy. -Ps 132:8-9

Rise up, O LORD!

O Lord I run to You
Into Your everlasting arms I come
Cover me with Your feathers.

Keep me
as the apple of Your eye;
in the shadow of Your wings
Hide me.

With songs of deliverance
Surround me.

Psalm 32:7
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

There is a song in His words and my heart. 🙂

Keep me
Hide me
Surround me O LORD

I long to be
Held in Your gaze
As a precious jewel
The apple of Your eye
Beneath Your wings
In Your everlasting arms
You are mine
I am yours

Keep me
Hide me
Surround me O LORD

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth — For your love is better than wine. Because of the fragrance of your good ointments, Your name is ointment poured forth; Therefore the virgins love you.

Draw me after you and let us run together! The king has brought me into his chambers.”

“We will rejoice in you and be glad; We will extol your love more than wine. The upright love you.”–Song 1:2-4

Jeremiah 33:10-11     There shall once more be heard the voice of mirth
and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of
the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring thank offerings to
the house of the LORD: “Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, for the LORD
is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Zeph 3:17     The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will
take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice
over you with singing.

The Bridegroom’s answer to the Bride’s longing heart cry …

In My eyes, in My eyes,
You are so precious in My sight

In My eyes, in My eyes,
So much love for My Bride.

In My eyes, in My eyes,
You are so precious in My sight

Held in My gaze, a beautiful jewel
The apple of My eye

Under My wing, you’ll abide
So precious in My sight, you are held
You are held
In My eyes

Forever more
You are held
In My eyes.

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD
listened and heard them;
So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the
LORD and who meditate on His name.
“ They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “ On the day that I make
them My jewels{treasured possesion}.
And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” –
Mal 3:16-17

Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests? –
Isaiah 60:8

O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret place of the steep
pathway{stairs}, Let me see your form, Let me hear your voice; For your
voice is sweet, and your form is lovely. -Song 2:14

*stairs speak of access to the Bridegroom’s presence
