July 29, 2011

Psalm 81:7In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I proved you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

Psalm 50:15,23

  • NASB … Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me. … He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.
  • NLT … Trust me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory. … But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.

Joel 3:16The LORD roars from Zion and utters His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth tremble. But the LORD is a refuge for His people and a stronghold to the sons of Israel.

Psalm 29:4The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

Job 37:2-5Listen closely to the thunder of His voice, and the rumbling that goes out from His mouth. Under the whole heaven He lets it loose, and His lightning to the ends of the earth. After it, a voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, and He does not restrain the lightnings when His voice is heard. God thunders with His voice wondrously, doing great things which we cannot comprehend.
