God’s Way

May 14, 2017

Isaiah 55:8-9 … “My thoughts are not your thoughts, My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the LORD.
“And neither are your ways My waysMy ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts”.

God is able to do far beyond all that we ask or thinkEph 3:20
Walk by faith, not by sight—2Cor 5:7

Faith = belief/trust that God will make a way when you are unable to see one!

Trust in the Lord
Seek His face –Ps 27:8
He will not forsake the ones who seek His help! –
Ps 9:10

God’s ways are far beyond anything U can imagine #TrustHim to make a way even when U can’t see one! #GodInControl

Walk in Christ

August 2, 2015

2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

Yesterday contemplating what it means to walk by faith led to a previous post. This added more thoughts to what it means to walk by faith.

From yesterday Walk by Faith:
Walk by faith with the Lord – not by sight and
=> You will be given eyes to see even in the dark.

From previous post Be Transformed below:
Walk by faith = Walk in Christ
= Walk in union, conformity and obedience to Him
(not the world)

=> not only will you be given eyes to see in the dark
=> you will be transformed
=> growing in faith
=> strong and vigorous in His truth
=> overflowing(blooming) in thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus!

Walk by faith
=>Faith comes by hearing and obeying the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17 NASB
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ

From NetBible Ro 10:17

  • word[4487]rhema= uttered by the living voice

Proverbs 22:17-19 AMP
17 Listen (consent and submit) to the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge;
18 For it will be pleasant if you keep them in your mind [believing them]; your lips will be accustomed to [confessing] them.
19 So that your trust (belief, reliance, support, and confidence) may be in the Lord, I have made known these things to you today, even to you.

From Be Transformed:

Colossians 2:6-7 AMP
6 As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him.
7 Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.

From NetBible Col 2:6 & 2 Cor 5:7

  • walk[4043] = continue to live in obedience to, to make progress/grow in

From NetBible Col 2:7

  • rooted[4492] = to strengthen with roots, to render firm,
to fix, establish, cause a person or a thing to be thoroughly grounded
  • built up[2026] = To finish the structure of which the foundation{Christ} has already been laid, to give constant increase in knowledge and in a life conformed to Christ
  • established[950] = to make firm, sure, strong
  • overflow[4052] = abound, be in excess
*abounding is used of a flower going from a bud to full bloom.
  • thankfulness[2169] = gratitude, actively grateful

Colossians 2:6-7 NLT
6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to Him.
7 Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him, so you will grow in faith, strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all He has done.

Better to Walk by Faith

August 1, 2015

2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

Better to walk by faith with the Lord in the dark
Than to walk alone in the light by sight
Because with the Lord by my side
I know the darkness will be ever so bright!

Psalm 139:10-12 AMP
10 Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me, 12 Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.

Hebrews 11:6 AMP
But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

Better to walk in the dark with the Lord by faith than to walk alone in the light by sight! -2Cor 5:7

Refuse to be Discouraged!

March 14, 2009

Numbers 13:31-33    But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

Has the Lord called you into a seemingly impossible position?
Where all you can see is darkness and ‘giants’ ruling in the land?

Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. –2 Chron 2:15

Refuse to be discouraged!
Refuse to give way to fear!
Refuse to believe the bad reports!
Refuse to walk by your ‘natural eyes’.
Walk by faith, not by sight -2 Cor 5:7
Keep in step with the Holy Spirit. -Gal 5:25

[ The Triumphs of Faith ] Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. –Heb 11:1

Believe the Lord’s good promises
Not one of them will fail.

Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. –Josh 21:45

Refuse to be discouraged!
Remember who has gone before you to prepare the way
The great I AM is with you and will never leave or forsake you.

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. –Deut 31:8

Be strong in the LORD
Rely only on His power, His direction and not your own

Refuse to be discouraged
Trust in the LORD and His word alone.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. –Eph 6:10

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. –Phil 4:13

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. –2 Chron 32:7
