Safe Harbor Blessing

July 17, 2014

Psalm 107:25-31 NLT    He spoke and raised up a stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wits’ end. They cried out to the Lord in their distress; He delivered them from their troubles. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor! Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men!

Mark 4:39  NKJV   Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

Isaiah 26:3-4 AMP
3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.
4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

What a blessing is the stillness –
The great calm
The perfect peace of the Lord.

A peace we can have amid any storm!

Trust in the Lord
Commit yourself whole heartedly to Him
Lean on Him and
He will carry You in perfect peace thru any storm
To His safe harbor
A place found only in His blessed care.
