Isaiah 26:3-4 AMP
3 You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.
4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

What a blessing is the stillness –
The great calm
The perfect peace of the Lord.

A peace we can have amid any storm!

Lean on Him and
He will carry You in perfect peace thru any storm

Savior Please Steer Me

March 11, 2012

Psalm 107:25-26,29-32 NLT … He spoke, and the winds rose, stirring up the waves. 26Their ships were tossed to the heavens and plunged again to the depths; the sailors cringed in terror.

29He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. 30What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor! 31Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. 32Let them exalt him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.

Isaiah 43:1-2 NLT … … the LORD who created you says: “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown!” …

When the waves rise
When it feels as if I’m being tossed to the heavens
and plunged again to the depths
Savior please, steer me.

Through deep waters and great trouble
Through rivers of difficulty
Ever present Savior please, steer me. -Ps 46:1

Let the Sun of Righteousness rise
and lead me on
Sovereign Savior please, steer me
To safe harbor
Thru the storm in stillness
Held by the One to whom I belong.

Safe Harbor

Psalm 107:25-30 He spoke and raised up a stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wits’ end. They cried out to the Lord in their distress; He delivered them from their troubles. When storms rage and strength and courage seem to melt away
Remember the One and Only who the wind and waves obey

He speaks! “Peace! Be Still!”Mk 4:39

A beacon of truth showing the way Jn 8:12
Rock of peace – Rock of refuge
A safe harbor to which you may continually come.

Psalm 71:3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; the strong place of my salvation; for You are my Rock, and my fortress(safe place).

Isaiah 26:3-4 You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

Proverbs 29:25 NIV Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.

Proverbs 29:25 BBE The fear of man is a cause of danger: but whoever puts his faith in the Lord will have a safe place on high.

Proverbs 29:25 NLT Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but to trust the LORD means safety.

Trust in the Lord means you’ll be kept in perfect peace while being led to a safe place – safe harbor. What a blessing!

Lord, thank that You can calm any storm, both those around us and those within. Thank You that as we trust You we’ll be kept in perfect peace and led to a safe place; a safe harbor in You.

The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Saviour! -Ps 18:46
